I've decided to split it into two parts, one on the armoured forces, and one on the airforce. The first on the armoured units is almost done, just trying to scan in some photos to go with it and then it'll be ready

After that I'm thinking about doing maybe a short series of articles on characters in the wild west, the myths and realities

I'm thinking of reorganizing the listing. First by era, then by region. Also add a note for the date the thread was put up (for easier checking to see which are the newer ones).

What do you guys think? Suggestions?

I like the period suggestion, but personally think the list being divided into period is enough, rather than two divisions Dates are good also

Any suggestions for how we're going to divide up the eras? Mine is :-

Period I (pre 500?)
Period II (500? - 1500?)
Period III (1500? - 1800)
Period IV (1800 - WW1)
Period V (Post-WW1)

I won't using those Eurocentric terms like Ancient, or Dark Ages, or Middle Ages, since these hardly applied in every other state/nation/tribal org.

I'd like a further regional breakdown for each era; otherwise a lot of articles are going to bunch together in the Period II category I think...
