Summer: 20XX
Chapter One: Just Another Uncertainty
Humanity is not what it seems
As reality plays my darkest dreams
The end is too far for us to see
Ill make it with you here next to me
-Final log in a diary found in Port Nos, found near an executed couple for failing to comply with the order to hand over all males
As spring transitioned in summer, the world surprisingly did not jump into conflict as quickly as it was anticipated. In fact, despite the calling of many of the male warlords to charge at the former oppressors and bring their civilizations into ruins, the summer of 20XX is defined mostly by the complete inactivity of the hordes in any serious military operations against female states. However, this did not mean conflict itself did not happen; merely that most of the tension was in fact internal.
In the great hordelands of America, it appears Lily Dawn was correct after all. The red pills that the tribe of the same name so fervently based their entire way of life became increasingly hard to find in the ruins on the east. Attempts to ration the pills only for the best warriors in the tirbe only caused discontent, which was not helped by many tribe members reportingly developing an addiction to the pills. As withdrawal kicked in, many red pillers started to fight among each other for control of the few pills remaining, until the majority of the horde was dead. Without any substantial numbers, the few survivors broke off, and the once great horde ceased to be.
Things were not going much better within the orthodox Reddit Army, however. Lily Dawn, presumably tired of fleeing from the women of the west, issued an order preventing anyone from crossing the Mississippi River. However, paradoxically, Lily Dawn refused to march towards the women of the west, nor find any greener pastures north or south. Effectively, this meant the horde stayed in already-scavenged Missouri. The Reddit Army is quickly getting restless, and hunger is starting to kick in with the lack of food through foraging picked over territory. If Lily Dawn wants to avoid the same fate as his eastern brethren, his horde will either finally have to cross the Mississippi, or march towards the west.
The independent Fringe Socialists, however, did march, down south towards Mexico City. There, it was reasoned, they could scavenge for littered war materials from before the meteors, restore them, and use them against the Tumbling nation. Although many were dissapointed a more direct confrontation was not chosen, the logic was sound, and thus the Fringe Socialists complied. The march South was mostly uneventful; some minor female communities were razed and their male slaves welcomed into the fold, but there was no real conflict for the Fringe Socialists. Which became a conflict in it's own
Ever since the nuclear winter resulting from the meteors, the Earth has grown to be much colder. Moving south to Mexico, on the other hand, has brought the horde into a decisively warmer, more temperate region than their homelands up north. Coupled with the fact that there is barely anyone to compete for vital hunting grounds and scavenging locations, means that a growing minority wishes to stay in Mexico, permanently. They already have their freedom, so what would going back north accomplish? This is not helped by the fact that it mostly likely be winter by the time they would reach the Tumbling nation, and they would therefore have to deal with a harsh winter. In either case, the Fringes are almost at the outskirts of Mexico City....
In the Triumvirate, the threat of the hordes were taken very seriously by the government, and thus a general conscription was implemented. Anyone who was deemed to have enough "military privileged" was forced to report to their nearest recruitment station, in which they were distributed into auxiliary roles, or even front line if they had too much privilege.
Perhaps the most drastic measure, however, was the creation of Operation Ice-Titian. Realizing that most horded do not have heavy ordinance to crush walls down, the Tumblrites had the ingenious idea to build a giant wall across territories that bordered the hordelands of the Great Plains. Benefiting from the influx of conscripts, construction of the giant wall began in California, but, when completed, is expected to stretch across all of the borderlands.
However, there is some criticisms of this plan. The nature of building a giant wall stretching from Baja California all the way towards Canada is a monumental task, both in manpower and resources. While the former is mostly in check thanks to the ample amount of conscripts, there are major concerns over the viability of getting enough building materials to properly reinforce the wall. Time is also of another factor, while the strip across California is mostly complete, work hasn't even begun in neighboring Baja California or Nevada, let alone anywhere up north. Many fear the wall will be nowhere near complete by the time the hordes finally do come.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the Manpire elects to move south, towards London. To their complete surprise, there is not a single person alive on the entire island, man or woman. They are completely alone on the isle of Great Britain, which is especially odd considering they had a hot landing when they came from the "sinking" Isle of Man. A few feel as if some malevolent being killed all those who were on this island previously, and that the Manpire might suffer the same fate if they continue to be here.
Luckily, in Kent, the Manpire found a harbor filled with boats. Most have some damage on them, but with some months worth of fixing, they could become seaworthy yet again, for whatever purposes the Manpire wishes to have with them. Considering there is almost nothing on Britain for the Manpire, almost everyone in the Manpire is ravounsly drooling at the opportunity to go out to sea.
Out west, unified in their faith, the Teutonic Order sends warladies westwards, hoping to bring peace and stability to their Germanic brethren. The Order found a community of women, centered but not limited to ruins around Hamburg, which were well organized but lacked much military capabilities. At first, these women of the west were very receptive to the idea of allowing the Teutonic Order to protect them, and thus willingly allowed themselves to be annexed by them.
However, the annexation of this Hamburg commune naturally brought forth the expanding of the Teutonic government, and their zeal of their faith with them. Unbeknownst to the Teutonic Order at the time of annexation, the Western Germans were ardent atheists, and did not take too kindly to the missionaries crossing over and attempting to force them to convert. They especially didn't like some zealous governors attempted to change local laws to fit canonical law. In Neu-Hamburg, three local women were publicly beaten, one fatally, by Orderswomen for attempting to protest against the Teutonic's religion. The Generalkapitel is now stuck behind a rock and a hard place; attempting to convert Western Germany will most likely bring more discontent to their new lands. However, not converting or, goddess-forbid, attempting to abandon the new territories will cause the faithful in the east to get angry.
Luckily, there is a small silver lining in all of this for the Teutonic Order. The attempts at restoring the gunships were a resounding success, and the military is convinced that they are now combat ready. Any battle the Order gets into can now recive air support by these gunships, which will surely strike fear even in the greatest hordes, and even the protesters in the west.
The most conflict stained region in the world without a doubt is the land occupied by the Order of Nosdracha. Concerned about the growing power of the female warlords, who are being assimilated into Nosdracha but yet still hold their extreme androphobic views, the council enacted what was derided as a very hasty plan of deciding to kill every single male within their borders.
The breeding pens were cleared out as every slave was immediately executed on the spot. Everyone was to turn in their male slaves, if they had any, for extermination. Anyone who was caught disobeying, which a not-insignificant portion of male slave owners did, were slaughtered along with the men. The canals of Port Nos turned red as blood spilled everywhere, but after a week, the Order proudly declared they were man free.
However, many women are still extremely discontent with this decision, which was made without their consent or at least prior knowledge before it happened. Not only has the government took their property away, but now women are getting cranky as they can no longer satisfy their carnal pleasures. Not to mention everyone knows at least one person who was brutally murdered in the whole ordeal. Protests litter the streets of every major settlement in Nosdracha's lands, demanding for immediate democratization of the government so that something like this will never happen again.
Protests like these do not exist in Volga, however. Instead, the nation faced a bomb scare by a madmale tired of being oppressed. While he was quickly brought to justice before anything serious could occur, it remained a strong reminder to the citizens in Volga that the male threat to their way of life still exists and needs to be destroyed. They have full faith in their Premier to lead them into a new age of prosperity.
They are not the only ones, however. One day, a massive horde from the east approached the Volga,. Warning alarms were raised, and the army quickly mobilized to deal with this threat. However, before any serious violence started, the Volgans realized they were, in fact, women, and not men. They spoke a strange language no one understood at first. However, a private was able to establish contact with them; her mom was from China, and these refugees spoke the same language her mother taught her and talked to her with.
The refugees, led by a lady known as Jin Lun, were the fabled Chinese refugees that left the Middle Kingdom after their Great Divorce. For years, they have wandered the Central Asian steppes, trying to make a life out there as they were continuously preyed upon by the male hordes. Perhaps the strongest was a horde lead by a man simply known as "Khan", who Jin believes is raising an army to attack the "effeminate states of Europe".
Jin begs the Volgans to let her people settle in their lands, but this has caused major concerns within the current population. While agreeing would be the humane thing to do, Jin's female horde is almost half the current population of Volga's current, and barely anyone, if any, speaks Russian. They would be extremely hard to integrate within Volgan society, and no one knows if they even produce enough food to be able to sustain the refugees while also feeding themselves.
In China proper, controversy is abound when the leaders of the Horde continue to delay moving out of Beijing week after week. They continuously claim there is more supplies to be scavenged before they set out, but some believe that the leaders are too sentimental of the Forbidden City to finally abandon it. Whether the case is, the horde is now starting to eat through its supplies meant for it's journey, and many are calling for the replacement of the current regime for someone who is more suited for leadership on the road.
Thusly, the Earth stood still as summer drew to a close. While almost everyone expecting the fighting to begin quickly, the slow start will not be around forever. The next few months might even be the most critical in the entire Earth's existence...

OOC Notes:
Update 2 soft lock on Wendsday again
Son's nation was destroyed, for he announced to me on chat that he quit the game
If Martin and Christos fail to send orders again, their nations may be either NPC'd or destroyed, depending on what I need at that particular moment.
@Poly: Post a map next time, please. I put you as close as you could get to Mexico City in one turn, but for the future, I will not process movement orders if you don't post a map of your movement Consider youself warned.
@Cived: You have the option of spending all four movement points to place yourself on Calais this turn, if you so wish. It will take some time to repair the boats, hence why it requires a full turn to move. If you do this, you will not need to post a map since it's plainly obvious what you're doing.
