A teaser of what the Kurio's spellcaster will look like in shadow :

Lamia.jpg

Modeled and Skinned from scratch by me. Took me some time to finish, but now I have a base for all the spellcasters.

Heh. She looks like she's only just realised she left the house without her bikini top :)

Might consider adding something to make it a bit less distracting, males playing Kuriotates won't get moving in hours after they build their first adept:)

Or then not. Openness might numb things a bit when compared to not quite- excliptness and result in semi-nudity being considered natural after a while and the juvenile giggling will cease

edit: not a mermaid actually but a snake[?] so not seaweed

It might be odd to have mermaids moving on land, although I guess they could use magic to do so. If they are mermaid spell casters, they should be able to swim in the water (i.e.,start with water walking). I thought that the sea people (be they mermaids/mermen/"people of the mer" in the typical sense or something quite different) had gone extinct before Danalin began to dream

If they aren't mermaids but half-snakes as zxcvbnm suggested they might be (and since they have no fins) then they probably fit better with the Kuriotates. Their pronunciation of the letter "s" is already stated to be a snake-like hiss.

If they aren't mermaids, you might consider adding mermaids also, but probably not as a Kurio unit. Perhaps as a hero, possibly tied to random events rather than built? I was actually just thinking that if alignment were changed by actions rather than simply by religion conversions, thenmermaids would make a very good OO unit that requires a Good alignment. It could be that some of Danalin's dreams haven't been quite so corrupted by Mammon, so he is remembering his old favorite race, and bringing them back.

Edit: Ok, I realize it is a Lamia. By the time I actually submitted the post I figured that was probbaly what is actually was (although I couldn't remember what such a creature was called)

This is not a mermaid but a Lamia (halfsnake/halfwoman).

ok, roland made the start, so i can show you the new succubus too ;)

here we go, another unit and another reason to play sheaim ;)

everyone under 16, dont press the thumb nail ;)

Those are two great models, seZerith and C.Roland.

The only other comment I have is for the Lamia - assuming that the posted picture shows her as she would appear in the game. She seems a bit top-heavy in the sense that her minimal lower body mass doesn't seem like it would support her upper body - especially how she is leaning forward. It could be why some assumed she was a mermaid, since this wouldn't be an issue in the water.

By the way, it always strikes me as odd how people shun the human body. These models are great, and I'm glad to see that FfH won't be visually prudish.

Very nice.

It seems odd to me that the Satyr upgrade that the succubus is fighting has a breastplate but no armor on his back, or even any indication of anything holding his armor in place. I think that adding long hair loosely tied back and hanging down over a green cape (which could either serve as the fastening mechanism for the breastplate, or just hide whatever is holding it in place) would look nice, but his horns would have to be much bigger. But of course, I think the more experience Satyrs should have larger horn anyway (although the horns in your earlier big horned version seem to emphasize his baldness too much.)

yea i like the new satyr but im kinda displeased to see the old one go... it was very VoL like (peaceful, mystic, etc)

The old Satyr isn't going anywhere; the old Satyr will upgrade to the new one instead of becoming a ranger. No longer will Satyrs magically turn human when they upgrade.

ooh thats cool ;) (didnt really use this unit so did realize it at first) btw, what will it be called? Satyr Scout? or still Satyr?

I don't think the name for the upgrade has been released yet. As far as I know the old one will still just be called Satyr.

(I didn't really use them much either until I decided to mod them a little. In my version they are almost certainly overpowered at the moment, so I'm modding all the other religious UUs to compensate)

Boobs! :p

I was actually working on a Succubus a while ago, mine wasn't topless, but your version looks really good.

Hmm, for my taste the succubi should have at least 4 of the ....them :D

Great stuff! Even more fantasy creatures!

Now: unicorns for the Elohim, Pegasi as a capturable animal with would give flying to melle/reckon/archery units, mermaids and sirens for the sea.

That is my wish list :)

looks really sweet =D

I agree with vorshlumpf tho that the lamia seem a bit top-heavy. Maybe extend the tail out a little, and make it slightly curved, like a snake?

NSFW... or girlfriend viewage:lol:

thanks ;)

the old satyr will be called Fawn, upgrading to the Satyr (the new one).

About his Armor, I hope Kael can finish the pedia entry until then. I was aiming for a mystirious armour, a piece of strange living wood, not far away from a treants wood, slowly merging with the Satyrs own body. On a closer look, you will see roots around his back, going beneath his skin. Probably a painful process, but the Satyr finally becomes an integral part of the forest ;)
And he has longer horns, they might be not fully visible on this screenshot, but I think you should judge him by his pedia look and description, not this small screenie there ;)
