What exactly are you asking for for stats? How can we pick specializations without knowing how high our modifier is?

you first have to divide your point between your abilitys. then you`ll get your modifier.. then you can choose your specializations...
and in between you can make your sub-abilities.. at least all but art: because you`ll need your next-doors-city culture value to calculate that.

and what about the far 'north' where numbering would have negatives... like town B(ng)2?

Well that map will be the northern expanse, so that will be for 7 players. The other 7 will be on the eastern expanse map. I'll post the eastern map tonight in the social group.
So we really don't need start locations yet. We still have to tell you which area (north or east) your organization will be in and we'll provide an area description too. By the time you have to choose start locations you will definitely have more information than just this map. Think of it as an early preview.
No, all of the submissions so far have been fine. Feel free to work on the stats for your organization, but you still have a couple of days for that. I'm pretty sure there isn't a hard deadline for stats yet.
Edit: Figured I should answer this too ...
I've sort of been lurking around here, not saying too much. Kenkrajen did most of the great work in putting this together, so I felt he was best suited to introducing it and answering the rules questions. Of course I'll gladly answer anything you need too, I just thought it might get too hectic with both us jumping in and answering the same thing.
I'll be posting a seperate thread for the Eastern Expanse later, so that there will be one thread for the section Kenkrajen moderates (north) and one for the section I moderate (east). Since none of the players have been assigned to either section yet, I think we should probably just leave it as one thread for now.

we've decided on the player lists, and they're in the unfilled post i left for orders. (i'll make it better looking later). all you guys need for now is a little patience. the rules are done but things like nation background while written down are mostly in note form. i'm planning to put up an update 0 one week from today, while getting the info i need from you guys over the course of this week.

not if i have ur history, which i do, and ur stats (not starting resources) which i can't remember if i have. but if i have those two that's all i need for now. when i put up the inno tree and nation bios go up this week then i'll ask for starting resources and i'll ask for starting locations, and orders too. and then we're ready for the first update one week from today.
