I don't know why Jonas was convinced, but Rantine was given dreams by Bhaal. My assumption would be, if Rantine was getting dreams from Bhaal that Jonas, Bhaal's chosen, would also be aware of Bhaal's choice in Sheelba.

No adventurer player characters actually, only because I had used up all the PC names long before we started FfH2, which is where we introduced adventurers. There is one hero PC (Orthus as you said) and one leader PC (Tebryn) and quite a few Great People who were players.

Wait, you actually had your players play as Tebryn? From some of your previous posts, I had assumed that he was some big bad villainous NPC you had set up against them. Though I suppose it's not inconcievable that they played as him at one point, and played against him in another campaign...
