FfH trivia game thread

Do you mean the Svartalfar changing from PROMOTION_ELF to the essentially identical PROMOTION_DARK_ELF, so they could have different art?

Im guessing he means what race had its race changed when put into FfH (it was a different race in the D&D games).

I'm going to guess and say cyther means the the Luichirp were originally were gnome but got changed to dwarves... the other part is WHY?

oh and to Magister: I never knew/noticed that they had different promotions

He disliked Gnomes, his view of the luchuirp were former dwarves rather than Gnomes in the the DnD

Kyzrc,
1) who are you talking about?
2) incorrect

I thought way early in this thread Kael said he used gnomes for the Luichuirp in the original DnD campaign and greatly disliked it. That was why he switched them so they were another Dwarven nation.

I have a question, but I don't know the answer!

What are the best possible combat odds a warrior unit can get when attacking an Auric Ascended unit, assuming the following rules:

- Auric is at full health
- Auric only has his usual starting promotions
- No other units are involved in the fight (except to cast support magic on the warrior, or to cast world spells)
- The warrior has not been upgraded to another unit, and only has abilities/promotions that it could actually obtain in the game
- No other units cast spells apon Auric
- The warrior does not hold the godslayer

numerical value of 0.00% because Auric casted his snowfall :P

j/k ... but you have given me a LOT to play with ... Im too lazy to keep thinking of EVEN BETTER outcomes, or to give you a realm of that which is far more POSSIBLE, but ladies and gentlemen ... I give you, with the help of nearly all the equipment in the game (except Godslayer) a WHOPPING 90.7% ... better define the question and I will give you a better answer.

Here is the save ... so ppl can see whut I did thar. (I think Crown of Ashkarein and cold resist rly helps, along with War and Athame of course)

EDIT FOR REALISM SAKE!!!!
Er ... for purposes of the curious ... without exceptional circumstance equipment or affinity, its a whopping 0.4% :D

It's impossible to calculate if the guideline is like that because of the rod of winds. This item allows +1 affinity to air mana, and if you have a ton of air mana, this allows the warrior to grow more stronger, and without limits. So if that's the case, theorhetically, it's possible to have 99.99% odd against Auric just by holding the rod of air, and countless sources of airmana. And remember, it is possible to have at least 40 air mana nodes if you play a huge land map, somehow had conquered most of the map with domination victory off, and turned all nodes into air mana.

That is one kickass warrior.
Well, there is a limit based on the size of the map; there are only so many squares for air nodes to exist in.

My bad. I'm still a FfH newb and didn't know about items that grant mana affinity. Tasunke's save was entertaining though. Thanks!

So who gets it, Tasunke or Seon?

Kyzrc,
1) who are you talking about?
2) incorrect

It was because they didn't want to have to do all new graphic for when civ when they could just as easily morph them to dwarves and use the Kazard Graphic

Since I didn't think the question through enough, I guess it should be an open floor.

Does anyone have a question?

Not counting the readme file and FfH team members. How many FfH fans are mentioned in the mod?

Nice sig, Kael. AlazkanAssassin, Cordinale, Chalid, Loki, Wilboman, and formerly Woodelf (before Yvain became a treant) all have heroes named after them. If there's any more obscure nods hidden... *shrug.*
