FfH2 0.31 Bug Thread

Now then... Govannon + priests seems to be a bit broken/overpowered. Since Train adds the Sphere I promotion and Channeling I, priests that are trained in any given sphere get access to Sphere II as a choice on next promotion. Haven't gotten to high priests yet in my current game, but I assume that this would also allow high priests access to third-level mage spells as well. Not sure if this is WAD, but it doesn't seem right that you can turn all your priests into mages as well.

Way I understood it the Priests are supposed to get all their spells automatically, so shouldn't HAVE channeling 2 anymore.

Units cant cast mask if they have cargo, are part of a group, or if you dont know the deception tech.

My ghost, as shown in the screen shot, doesnt have any cargo or belong to any group. Also I have already researched the deception tech. I am not sure what is wrong.

Well, here's my fireball-tossing, spectre-summoning stonewarden...

The promotions from top right, going down the columns are:
Body I, Channeling II, Command I, Courage*, Death II, Divine, Fire II, Inquisitor, Loyalty*, Medic II, Mobility I, Regeneration*, Shadow I, and Shield of Faith.

Promotions with a * are from my wizards. Body I, Fire I, Death I, and Shadow I are from Govannon. The stonewarden can cast Fireball and Summon Spectre, along with his normal Shield of Faith, Cure Disease, Inquisition, and Found Temple.

I think what was supposed to happen was that Priests no longer need the spell spheres, since all the spells are linked to just Channeling I/II + Divine + Religion, with Religion replacing the spell sphere reqs. Note the tooltip for Channeling II.

I think spell spheres now are supposed to be mage-only, no longer requiring Sorcery/Summoning to learn spells. The problem is that once Govannon teaches the priests the first level sphere, they can get the second level promotion and that combined with Channeling II gives mage spells.

Addendum: Summon Djinn (Meta III) currently actually summons an Earth Elemental.

I got tile with pool of tears and corn. Never seen this on .30 and before.

6. Racial models (orcs, elves, etc) aren't displayed in the bottom left unit window. Unfortunatly that is coming from the graphics engine and we don't have the ability to intercept and fix it.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but you could just create 'Elf Warrior' and 'Orc Warrior' units, no?

This can happen for two reason :

_ You use a map script that add bonuses after mapGenerator generation .

_ there is a small chance that you start in desert . Because of normalize function , the desert is replaced . Then in normalizeAddFoodBonus , there is a chance that a normalized bonus was added to the tile ( corn is normalized ) . And this process doesn't check if there is an improvement to the plot ... So this is possible .

Tcho !

Adepts aren't supposed to cast level 2 spells right? Specifically, my adept can cast poisoned blade due to 3 nature mana.

Sure, I could create Elf, Dark Elf, Orc and Dwarf version of all the units and not use the civ specific art. But it hardly seems worth creating over 80 units for that.

.31 Patch A:

Whenever I spread Order to a city using an acolyte, a new acolyte is created.

Assuming it hasn't recently been changed recently (I haven't had a chance to download .31 yet), you don't get one every time; the chances are random but very good.

In my current game, my entire army was wiped out when the Armageddon blight event took place (AC hit 40). I also got a huge unhealthiness penalty in all my cities from the blight.

Basium arrived just the turn before, if that has anything to do with it.

Fortunately, I have the autosave on the turn it happened, right before it actually took place.

I started this game in normal .31, and patched it to version A a few turns before this took place.

Let me know if you need any more info.

There is a barbarian settler with the enraged promotion at the center of the map , just right to the elohim . If you you remove the enraged promotion , the WoC stop .

Tcho !

Thanks for your detective work, Sto!

I did keep the save and would like to pick up that game and play it further from where I got the WoC.

What's the best way to remove the enraged promotion, as you recommend? Can I just go in and somehow delete the Settler? I know how to view in the WorldBuilder, but how to delete a unit?

I wonder how that Settler was created? Another civ's Settler gone bad?

Thanks again!

Games seem far slower pace now. Not getting religions and such out till around turn 200.

Tried a game as Amurites and computers were crushing me on Emperor lol. To be fair I started in Jungle area.

I finally get Saverous out and looking foward to getting revenge on Perp and I'm getting repeated CTD's a couple turns after the auto save (like 3-4 turns after Save comes out).

Ozzie casts worldbreak i move save to defend city perp retreats and then crash.
