FfH2 0.33 Bug Thread

same with Inspiration.
 
Playing as Kuriotates (for about 20 minutes -- then I got irritated and restarted as another civilization), I found I was unable to choose between building a city or a settlement. As this occurred with my first settler, I believe it is due to patch f's "buildings" issue.
 
Hi, I just ran into the building spell problem, so I saved and reinstalled patch e as instructed here.
When I reopened Civ4 it was much slower than usual, and when I tried to load my game after that I got this error message:

I'll go back to patch f, I guess...
 
It also seems to affect other spells that create buildings. My priest of leaves isn't able to found a temple of leaves. The savegame is here. Im running .33 f.

had a similar bug with nearly all priests, only in towns without the religion I could build the temple, as soon as the religion is already present its not chooseable
 
The problem is that the fix to keep slaves from being able to cast their spell to create a Cage when there already is one was to place a RETURN FALSE statement early in the "can cast" code.

At the same time as making this change, the much later RETURN TRUE statement was removed. The end result is that any spell which does NOTHING BUT CREATE A BUILDING will never be castable. So if you want a non-DLL quick fix which you can apply for yourself, make the spell do something more than just create a building.
 
My illusions aren't healing to full power after combat.

I saw that the AI gets them healed,but mine don't both with summons and the Black Mirror.
 
Lunatics can select "enraged" (the angry, red face or whatever it is called) as a promotion upon leveling. Seems like I've seen something similar mentioned before, but I couldn't find it under the reported bugs section.
 
Has anyone else been having trouble with the shadow walk promotion? I cast it and it doesn't seem to be working (unless I am not understanding what it does). I am trying to attack an enemy on an ancient forest square and the enemy unit is still showing a 50% bonus for tile defense and a 10% bonus for ancient forest.
 
The Command Promotions cause workers to sometimes be duplicated (you get a worker with the promotion, *and* you get the regular worker)...

Its description is incorrect. It allows units to ignore building defense, not terrain defense.
 
Also, It seems the AI is building units it shouldn't be able to upgrade to... AV Perpentach is wandering around with Stygian guards (he's never had OO has his religion)...
 
Is there any way to check what the current status of the Overcouncil or Undercouncil is? I switch to Overcouncil as Sidar and now I'm stuck with Liberty and can't change it so I'm assuming that the Overcouncil voted this before I joined, but I'm not sure. If not, then when I switched to Republic, I also automatically switched to Liberty and even though I have the Order religion, it's not even letting me click on Social Order.
 
1. I built four Shadows. I used the mask spell on all four. Three were OK, but one lost its invisibility taking away the main reason for having the unit. I tried to declare nationality. Still gone. :confused:

2. When I kill elven Priest of Leaves summoned Tigers I get XP. When I kill Doviello Wolves (from The Hunt World Spell) I do not get XP.

Both are not HN (not that it should matter as I have the Raiders trait) and carrying the flag of the owner.

Please explain.
 
@Sarisin: You sure a Vicar (Empyrean Priest) didn't wander by and Revelation your Shadow at some point? Other than that, I dunno what might cause that.

@Westamasta: How many? If it's just 1 or 2, it could be the results of an event. If it's more... then might be a problem. Also, are you sure they're not Illusions created by the Hall of Mirrors? If he's got someone else invading him with Stygians it's possible that the illusions are wandering around.
 
If I have an immortal'd (blood of the phoenix) great person and use him (for example, to hurry wonder production), I get another great person.

Not sure if this is a bug, and it does certainly help shorten getting to tower/altar victories.
 
I've noticed something odd in my current game. I'll be building something in a city (usually a building) and out of nowhere, a copy of what is already in that city happens, usually an archer. I wonder if one of the other Civ's has warrens and they are also populating extra units in my city.

Plus, I think there should be a pop-up on the Sidar 'change to shade' button as I've accidentally hit it instead of another spell and ended up changing Hero units that I didn't want to into Shades. Personally I don't think Hero units should be able to receive this promotion.
 
Kael, would it be tons of work to put out the source code for the DLL that fixes the flames crash for Vista machines? it would allow mod-mod-makers to incorporate it into their work that much sooner. this is probably a dumb question since I guess you have already thought about it yourself, but asking doesn't hurt :D
