FfH2 Bug Thread

Hell spreads into AV lands at AC 25 or so, I believe.

Or it may be unowned 25, AV immediate. I can't remember.

It spreads immediately in Ashen Veil areas; and then to unowned tiles when the AC hits 25. It spreads to evil Civ's at 50 and to neutrals at 75.

Okay, that's what I thought. Knew it wasn't anything to do with unowned at 66, everything is off 25/50/75/100.
 
If you have a zero gold balance when stasis is cast, your units will go on strike and desert you, even if your slider is not yet at 100% gold (and thus could automatically adjust if your cities were producing). Presumably this is not the intended behavior.
 
Me and my friends are still playing a lot of FFH2, since it's way more open-strategy-minded than Civ5 and other games that are out there.I know Kael is gone, and there's no development taking place anymore...

But I sure wish someone with Python skills would fix the bug that has given the Sons of Asena the explode-on-death ability that the Pyre Zombies used to have.

Would anyone Rise to the challenge??
 
Somewhere here is a file that you can replace the old one with. Although I don't remember what post or even what thread. Since most "oldies" here have either changed file or changed the codes themselves, pretty much anyone can upload the file (again) if you want.

Edit: I forgot to mention it, but this was regarding the exploding Sons (so it instead is the pyre zombies that explode).
 
I was playing with FoL Balseraphs and was having a ball with taunt and mesmerize animal aster I was attacked by the Ljos Alfar. However, I noticed that if I used taunt to a stack, I often could not attack the surviving remnants of the stack with any units, and sometimes only with blitz units (meaning that single-attack units that had not attached yet could not attack the stack). It got worse as the game progressed as sometimes the whole game stopped responding to mouse commands after trying to attack such a stack. I could get around these by saving and reloading, but now I'm stuck in a situation where I can no longer finish the turn.

I think I can get around this by using a bit older auto save, but I'm uploading a savefile in case it is useful for bug hunting.

Ok, I did take a brief look at the save. It is messed up. I couldn't end the turn for instance. When I went in the worldbuilder and came out, it worked.

I deleted the harlequins to see if that helped, and the game worked, but I admit I don't know why.

You may want to declare yourself the winner, you have this one in the bag.

There was at least one tiger and one Harlequin (these are the taunter and the target) whose strength is shown as '?'. I guess it is well messed up for some reason.
 
Hi. I am new to the forums primarily because I have this very bad bug. I am playing as the Malakim and for some reason, no matter how many times i try to load, or load the autosave, the game keeps crashing to the desktop at turn 573 (when i'm on that turn and i hit end turn it crashes). I've never experienced a crash i couldn't get by before. I just started this game after not playing since January and I haven't had this issue with the other civs. This is my first time playing as the Malakim for, or at least trying, a full game.

I have BtS 3.19 (obviously)
FfH2 0.41 (patch "o" i think)
and I am running windows seven.

please help? i really like this file.
 
I have BTS 3.19, windows 7, FfH 0.41n and I can't even load the mod. When I try, it simply kills the BTS program completely, no error messages. I also downloaded the "vanilla" version, and it does the same thing.

Try posting a save from before the turn it crashes (two turns is even better).

OMG!!!! The patching from inside the game didn't take, I'm on 3.13 even though i "installed" it from in the game. I promise not to bother anyone until I successfully update civ4. grrrrrrr
 
okay i think i got the save file on right. this is the save on turn 573. when i click end turn, it crashes. its only on this game though, i havent had this issue with my other FfH2 games.

It is clearly crashing. With such a huge file it may take a while to track down, but I'll try in the next few days.

Try the attached save file.

Unfortunately, I had to make an important change to fix the crash - I had to eliminate the Basium hero unit. I'm not sure if the Mercurians lose their characteristics if Basium is killed by the Worldbuilder, I think they do.

I tried to play a turn and put Basium back in the game via the worldbuilder, and it crashed again.
