a) no-one in Europe gives a crap about rap
b) countries vote for their mates, scandinavia, baltic, balkans etc

I must object, did you see how many points Norway got from Denmark and Sweeden? So much for "Scandinavian brotherhood"
It never fails, we throw points at Denmark and Sweden and will be lucky if we get anything at all back.

It isnt that. How would it look if a multi-million selling english band went to the contest and lost? Not too good.
Besides some of the songs are good; the bosnian and finnish songs will sell anyway, and they can stand alone.

Sorry, no offence to Britain but that song was an insult to rap music. It looked really like a British countryman believing he was a gangster.

But don't feel bad, the French song was even worst...

To be honest, with all the block voting which the UK doesn't benifit from we need a really good song to get anywhere at all. The UK entry this was awful. We all knew it was awful. The only reason the public voted for it was because it was awful! Mind you, the other ones in consideration weren't much better.

I was rooting for Lithuania - at least they were honest about what they wanted. Norway would have been my second choice. Germany third. You don't vote for the music, you vote for the entertainment!

Rockalypse here we come!


EDIT: Does anybody remember the Greek entry SAGAPO a few years back? Lots of men dressed up as robots chanting robot stuff. Awsome.

I agree. Me, girlfriend and my mates (apart from a few silly girls who rooted for Sweden) all thought it was great that Lordi got all those points.

I think this goes to show that there are much more rockers in Europe than media shows.

Its a shame the French singer was slightly off key though.
