I have never played a deity game before, and I normally play on Noble. I asked for tips on a different thread, and I decided to post the screenshots/story here.
First, though I need to know how to put my screenshots up inside the post, as opposed to the attachments.
I was the Incans (per request)
Deity, Continents, Tiny, Normal speed, Inca, BTS, nothing turned off, no mods.

The first one is the first I took.It shows my start position as I was researching Iron Working. I went for Archery first (which I never otherwise do) then straight to Iron working. I got a random event that gave all my Axemen shock for free, but I didn't have any metals... great, that's helpful.

Anyway, I waited for the barbarians, and sure enough, they came. a couple archers came, and I took a screenshot of the first two attacks.

My only neighbor was Isabella, who's fine if you have the same religion as her.

Next, I decided to attack the barbarian city to my north (Gepid)

I failed. I was one Quechua short, and I needed to redirect my resources somewhere else. Isabella started to try, and (hehe) failed as well.
Spain failed too ha0000.JPG
I just decided to wait there with a Quechua and wait to see if Isabella would be one unit short as well.
Ill just wait here0000.JPG

I was challenged to survive to 0 AD, well, in the first session of my first game on Deity, I made it to 200 AD and I'm doing.. ok. I could use some metal, but maybe it means I have oil, coal, uranium and/ or aluminum.
At least I wasn't the neighbor of Montezuma or Alexander. If I just stick with Isabella's religion, she'll like me. Maybe.

Some of your pictures aren't working :( Try uploading them to a separate site such as imgur.com.
From what I saw this story looks like it should be good though :D

OK, I'm using imagshack now, let's see..
OK, first screenshot, shows my startspot (I SIPed for this one, as I was surrounded by forest and didn't want to give up a turn)

Next, The first Barbarian attacks.. two archers, easily dealt with. Also, my gold- getting from attempting to build Stonehenge and the Great Wall. I had to try for the Wall..

My only neighbor is Isabella, who likes me, as she spread her religion to me. I don't plan on changing, either

Spoiler :
(In case you're curious about the pic name, the whole thing was along the lines of, "I hope she doesn't ditch me)

I next attempted to get the barb city north of me.

I failed. I posted a Quechua next to the city to watch Isabella try. She failed too.

That's all for now. I made it to 200AD without dying, partially due to the fact that Monty was no where to be found. :goodjob:

Screenshots are almost working :D You just need to put the URL of the image between the brackets not the image link, to get the URL right click on the image and then press copy URL.

Allright, I edit- fixed the scrreenshots into urls. They should bring you to imageshack.
I'll probably play again today, with an update to follow.

This is on the right side of the screen of imageshack for each of your pictures, just copy and paste the highlighted bit where you want the picture you are looking at to be.

OK,this is slightly out of order.
Before I attacked the northern Barbarians, I founded my second city, Tiwakanu

and learned that I was small. Duh.

Anyway, I attacked the Gepidians (is that right?) and failed, and Isabella failed too. I'm just waiting with my last Quechua from the stack to see if I could take advantage of an incomplete Spanish attack on Gepid.

This is the state of my Incans at 200 AD, 200 years past my initial challenge. (Like I said earlier, that might be due to the fact that my only neighbor was Isabella,as opposed to Montezuma.

I really hope the screenshots work this time, and I apologize for the previous failures.
Keep watching!

Don't worry about the screenshots, you got them now :D
:goodjob: for the story

Thanks to hoplitejoe for the help and compliment :)
I just realized that there is a chance I mayactually get the pyramids...the one I didn't really want... ah,well

Turns out, I did get the Pyramids... I wanted the Wall more though.
OK, so I left off at 200AD.
Shortly after the passing of the 200th year after whatever AD was named for in this game (Christianity is never founded in 0- 30AD), the Incans built their first fleet of boats, Galleys, designed to bring a group of settlers and a unit of archers to protect.

And converted to a kingdom under, well, a king wielding the power of the pyramids.

The Galleys went north, through the treacherous waters of the City of Gepid, to a bit of land not yet settled by the Spanish.

Needless to say, I immediately settled there.

I decide to ask Isabella for as many techs as possible.

She'd only give me Alphabet... anyway..

I found a good new city spot.
And rats ate my potatoes... lovely.

I built a settler,

and viola, I meet Pacal. Wait, what? Apparently, he's the other guy. I got a world map out of him, and he's got a whole continent to himself, excepting a barbarian city.

And I still can't get a map from Isabella...
St. Peter was born in Cuzco

And I had him Superspecialist
I also built a spy to attampt to steal the advanced technology of...

Polytheism. Great, and I failed, too...
I finally manage to build my fourth City.

And my Quechua near Gepid got killed by a Barb longbowman.

I got incense, two million citizens, and the Maoi Statues, and nothing much happened until I got to the Medieval age and built Longbowmen about 700years after the AIs.

I stopped in 1400AD

And that's all for now.

I especially like that the last pic says, Pacal II completed The Kremlin :p

Your not doing all that bad... at this stage in my last diety game my troops deserted me because I couldn't pay them anymore :p

It only kinda bugs me that they have infantry, while I only have Longbows... Ah,well.

I need to know if anyone is waiting for the next post... Thank you.

Yes I am.
And in my first (and only!) deity game, my Cho-Ko-Nus got crushed by modern armors.
Oh, and a little comment : if you build the pyramids, go representation, not Heriditary rule. Monarchy is a tech which comes rather soon, so building the pyramids for HR is a bit of a waste.

I was too small and needed the happiness immediately. I know everyone says it's trash, but I needed top be able to get some quick happy. I will post the next ASAP

I'm sorry for the delay, I wanted to assure interest in my story. Continuing:
Pretty much nothing happened for about three hundred years. I stated my next session with another assurance of my tininess.

Really nice. I'm "Fine" by the biggest margin ever...

The Spanish finally got around to taking Gepid, as it was way out of my reach since they got longbows.

After a hundred years I discovered construction.... so much for industrial espionage. I don't think it had been invented yet.

And the Mayans got their barb city

1550 AD

And people are stealing my rice..... lovely.

The Spanish have Machine Guns and Grenadiers... and Pacal has the Eiffel tower...

I founded Coryhaucawhatever on top of Copper.I normally refuse to found on a resource, but I really didn't want to lose the metal.

I use a spy to explore Spain as she won't give me OB. Scratch that, I was too lazy to build an explorer or scout.

However, I'll keep the fact that she'll give me coal for when I can actually use it.

If she DOWs me, I'm dead. Note the Madrid garrison.

I hope she doesn't pull me into this.....

This is where I stopped, I had to go somewhere. I'llprob. update again Mon or Tues.

Thank you for listening to my ramblings!

I was too small and needed the happiness immediately. I know everyone says it's trash, but I needed top be able to get some quick happy. I will post the next ASAP

Representation gives +3 :) in your five largest cities.
Nice update, by the way!
'Will the Incas survive, or will the Incan ICBMs wipe their longbow garrisons away, completely removing all effects of Hereditary rule and showing strijder20 was right?'
:p

yes, but I needed more
EDIT: and I'm somewhat of a novice player to you civvies
