First thing you'll do

Go outside and kiss a stranger. Then open an ice cold beer, pop some popcorn and fire up a new civ (not yet decided). So far my dream goes...

I'll prolly need to be at work after I installed, wishing I could play

play with Rome found a religion and enjoy the new content ;) after that play the fall of rome

Spend a few hours reading through all changes and additions in the civilopedia. After that I will start a game as Sweden with my standard settings.

I'm going to play as Ethiopia. Their defensive bonus should make them the easiest civ to sit back and learn the new mechanics.

Play as a complete random civ, against the 9 new civs, Spain, and against any civ that has their abilities changed (Songhai and England). Or, Spain against the 9 new civs.

As with vanilla...read about the game constantly before release, think I know what's up, then find out there's lots of details yet to learn (which is good).

Start a game as the most religious civ possible to get a quick taste of the religion system.

I think I'll play the Mayans first. It'll probably be a normal game, but it'll depend on what bonuses the Mayans get. If they get some sort of religious bonus, that'll be the game in which I pour all my resources into religion. It may not win me the game, but I just want to try it out. Then I'll play England, and if indeed they have an extra spy, I'm going to put focus on espionage and see how much I can mess with the other civs. Then I'll probably go through scenarios.

Open up civilopedia & check all civs UAs, UUs etc. For a full fledge game I'll probably wait for VEM to be released, my first civ would definately be Mayans or Huns. :)

First game I will play I won't actively try to create or spread a religion rather I will try to play defensibly just defend my civ from religions I don't want. I pic religious choices that allow me to defend my civ from unwanted religions. I I'll probably do the same with espionage. I want to see how the new mechanics work for/or against you. Also gives me more time to focus on the other improvements of the game like new civs, tecks, units, combat tweaks etc.

-- Verify compatibility of Z-Eras+Center, Z-UI (GSR + GYB_etc, still pending for release) & Z-Advisors and adapt accordingly.
-- Pick one of the newest 9 (odds are, it could be Mayans!), opponents being the other 8's. Have some fun, nine times.
-- Rack up a few Steam-Achievements with scenarios.
-- Pray & spy through the rest at random for a few weeks while roaring like a LeoPaRd within an exclusively maintained local HOF since other MODs will need to follow up on the new gameplay!

Set up a map with all the new civs on it just so I can run around and meet them with a scout. Then start up a new game with my usual settings as Austria or Byzantium
