Honestly, if you're a man Flynn's age, you can survive a couple of years in rich-people-prison (or just: prison, for readers from the civilized world). It is safe and dry and there's food to eat. He was in the military for decades, participated in the invasion of Grenada and served in Haiti. He has seen worse places.

His son is still young with a career ahead of him. Prison will hurt, and a conviction for espionage doesn't look to good on your resume even if you're pardoned.

So I can see why Flynn would take a fall for his son.

They are saying the discussions about easing sanctions were during the transition, not during the campaign. If they can hold that line then Trump will actually be in the clear. If Flynn ties the easing of sanctions to quid pro quo for assistance during the campaign then D'ump is cooked.

We've known it all along. The question is whether or not Flynn can and will prove it.

The current information looks like building an arch from both sides. On one side we have Kushner involved in Flynn contacting the Russians and discussing "what we can do for you as soon as we get in office." On the other side we have Kushner involved in the meeting during the campaign to discuss what the Russians have to offer in the form of illegally obtained "dirt" on Clinton. If those two structures meet at a keystone in the center and form a solid arch then Kushner can probably be hanged from it. Which begs the question, would he implicate his father in law? His brother in law? Or will he take the fall and count on a pardon?
