Melbourne is a certainty for the wooden spoon, especially with Davey out. They've got Geelong at Skilled Stadium next week with the unfurling of the flag.
Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn and St Kilda are the genuine chances of winning a premiership this year. Brisbane, Fremantle, West Coast and Port Adelaide should round out the 8. 4 way race between Essendon, Carlton, Melbourne and Richmond for the spoon, although Richmond and Melbourne are most likely to be finishing down there.
Meh, This is the one true footy though. Not the greatest title for a thread, given the international audience around here, for whom the terms footy and football could mean any one of 6 or 7 different sports!
I can't see Geelong not winning the GF.
Bit early on for such a bold statement![]()
The swannies look good to make the 8 but probably not much else though sadly.
Interested to see how Kieron Jack progresses. His dad was my favourite rugby league player in my youth. So far so good!
Not sure they are even a certainty to do that. Sydney have been playing a defensive game that seeks to close down the opposition, which I think has been superseded by the hard running attacking style that Geelong, and increasingly, other teams are playing.
Bye Bye Barry Hall for a few months.
