Forge of Empires: General Announcements & Discussion

Which is, without the negative connotation, exactly what I was doing (that is, correcting something wrong) when showing numbers comparing the cradles, which you decried as stupid. Therefore, Iggy, you might not want to include emu in your arguments if you don't want comparisons made.

And, "spreading lies and distortions"? I mean, really? Everything I said was true. For instance, while .34 doesn't seem like much, you have to realize its in an index. Think about it this way: that .34 means we are, on average, 17% larger than you. That 17% means, if you take the index to correspond to, lets say, 50 000 people, that we have, on average, 8500 more people than you. Given that the difference between Manonash and Animas is an average of 423 people, I don't think its unfair to say that, at least relatively, the average nation in Animas is significantly larger, given the ratios, than the corresponding nation in Manipur.

Now, if 8500 doesn't sound like a lot, think about an area of Earth being 17% larger than another, and you'll end up with a difference of millions. Therefore, .34 on an index cannot be called insignificant, especially given that the maximum thus far is 4.

But this is ridiculous semantics. I have made my point and am now going to dinner.

You have two that are actually larger and one that is smaller and the rest are the same size as in Manipur.
I don't see how you managed to aviod getting warned and I didn't, thats a load of crap

Doubtless he had a flashing lil thing in the top right of his screen. You can always check your outbox to ensure its got there.

Tell Nuclear Kid to send some actual orders Birdj, he wants you to recycle his old ones, but that is complete foolishness.
He'll completlely ****** his progress.

Nk is too busy.

I'm sure BJ has the intellegence to guide Racedonia along the path it has taken without huccup.

Um, if you two have a problem with the joking going on between Kal and myself, thats fine. Don't read it. In fact, I'll put spoilers on the stat comparisons to move the conversation above reproach. However, comparing cradle stats is useful both for demographic interest and harmless banter. "Settling it in game" would be ridiculous OOC metagaming (that is, to settle a fake competition between two PCs "in game").

PS - emu's initial statement was in the exact same vein of comparisons as what was posted before that, so lets not act otherwise.
I was agreeing with emu in the sense that the bickering was kind of pointless, and for settle it in game, I mean, put your energies into the game, and ultimately it WILL be sorted out, when the cradles contact each other.

I think the update method is suddenly outrageous :p- the Manonash, without question, should be first in the update line! It shouldn't matter whether or not we have all players in- already, without extras, we have more orders turned in than Animas can possibly have (the cloesest to being complete), and we're so much cooler than Manipur.
You wish you could be as awesome. ;)

Do like we did and kill him. ;) The blood must flow! Plus, I never liked Racadonia. If only because he keeps sticking it in every fresh start he sees.
I've already IggyPunched him repetitively for that name.

E-e-e-excellent.

We are awesome!

Sad, but true.

das counts as twenty people :p.

Still true. ;)

If it's any consolation, Iggy, your nation is the one bright spot I can see at present. Well, that and possibly Striga. Some others may have potential, but none of them catch my attention to any serious extent so far.

You know, I keep using the word "realism" in discussions, so I'm hardly the one to talk, but I really don't see how its purposes are served by this, or even what exactly does it have to do with it. It's only unrealistic if you act on outside knowledge; but otherwise it has nothing more to do with realism than your possession of any other kind of outside knowledge.
