Picard: What's that noise?
Riker: Don't know, sir. Data, report!
* A bright flash of light appears, and a naked Q lie befor ethe bridge *
Q: Hello, mon capitaine. Red alert.
Picard: Q! What jadded game are you playing now!
Q: No game, Jean-Luc. I've been stripped of my powers. I've been kicked out of the continium.
Riker: Not again!!!!!
Q: But I can help you. Jean-Luc, just like I help you pull the moon back into orbit a long time before. Make me a member of your crew, and I will help.
Riker: and in return, we must protect you from the Calamarains and all those creatures you'd tormented before? Not the kind of work I've signed up for!!!
Q: No. wait. I can even demonstrate how I can help. I will give you this for free. Look at Earth. Someone ordered the Oxford started there. But he forgot one thing. Earth already had the so-called Heroic Epic. One more Oxford would saturate Earth's capacity. This means no Wall Street there to take advantage of the 22gpt the shrine bringing in.
Data: With all due respect, Q, you are certainly correct in your analysis. However, since Earth has already committed so much manpower into Oxford, the only correct course of action is to let it continue. We have already done that analysis, and came to that conlusion 49.2317 hours ago.
Picard: Thank you, Mr. Data. See, your help is not required here, Q. And I am not convinced you are telling the truth. Mr Worf, throw him into the brig!
Worf: Delighted, sir.
Q: Wait!! There's more. You should upped your Dye trade with the Vulcans from 8gpt to 9gpt.
Data: Done that.
Q: And you should sell your dye to the Klingons ....
Data: Been there.
Q: Look, the Dominions are offerring trade for copper with crabs. You should agree to it, and make use of this opportunity to up your dye trade to her as well.
Data: Ditto.
Q: Huh? I am speechless ... I don't know want to say, Jean-Luc.
Worf: Now, you will walk or I'll carry you!
Q: I am disappointed in you, mon capitaine. I am very disappointed.
--------
A totally uninteresting turnset.
We had coal.
And we had a great artist. I don't know what to do with him. Either save him for a golden age, or have him join Earth (for the money and beakers (we are in representation now).
I had 3 missionaries built, 2 are now at Cardassian space.
I forgot to micromanage Earth, and its facing over-population problem. I went specialist crazy and build a temple there. Idea is to starve away one pop, and the temple should take care of another pop.
The Klingons are trying to sneak an outpost nto Federation space. Most likely NW of marble. Nothing we can do ... but I think that is a free city Peter is giving us.
I also have some troops in galleons. Next player can commence our real offensive on the Romulans.
BTW, I retired some of the old ships (galleys), and we lost two Caravels to Romulan Frigate.
