Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Not really a FAQ but it's also not worth its own thread: would it be possible to allow members to freely change their usernames with the Xenforo software or is the staff team still pretty set on the admin approval 'every couple years if you ask nicely' approach it's been using for the past decade and a half?
Please ask for the change. Thanks.

Hi there. I never thought upgrading a PC would lead to much misery. My old laptop ran XP and I was a happy camper. New system is running on windows 8.1 and aren't having any luck with Civ 1. Pretty much the only game I've played consistently since the 90's. It is apparent that it's like crack to me and I need my fix. I aint here to blow anyone!.....yet, but is there a way I can keep playing Civ 1 on my current version of windows? Thanks in Advance.

Is there any way to fix the tables so they look nicer? I'm glad you managed to restore the ability to make tables, but compared to the old style the new tables look bloated and unwieldy and so I'm more likely to just make a table on excel and screenshot that than actually use the table feature here, simply because of how they look.

It is my understanding that the ads you see are based predominantly on your own browsing history.
Is medical marijuana legal in the state where Thunderfall lives, or where CFC's servers are located?

If so, no problem. If not, then the ads are advertising an illegal product - which is against the rules, if I remember correctly.

And all it takes is a keyword here and there on the forum itself. It's amazing how many ads for dog kennels and obedience training and breeders we were shown on my old Dune forum when we were discussing the Lynch movie (there was a pug dog in it).

Plenty of admins and mods have advocated the merits AB+ in the past.

I have been a member since late May and have more than 300 posts, and I cannot find an option to edit my title! Please help; I have looked everywhere in my account settings, and I cannot find it.

Click on your own profile to take you to your profile page. At the top of the page, on the menu bar, you should see your user name. Click on that to open a menu that includes an item called "Personal Details." On that page, you can select a Custom Title.
