Full Monty

i am rather for trading feudalism.

pacifism we probably can't afford.

As settling goes i prefer western spot with cows and two hills.

Sorry guys, something got in-between (like a little road trip ;)). I won't be posting much if at all until next weekend. Good luck guys :)

PPP:

Trade gems for crabs with white.
Trade drama + 25 gold for monarchy with white??
Set research to currency (philo bulb plan).

Settler in horse for fish spot to the south. Juggle tiles in Kish.
Set gems to spy.
Set Eridu to galley.

T+1: Whip spy in gems. Overflow into palace? Whip Eridu galley and send north. If white's galley is full, it won't attack us (i.e., prevent a landing).

T+2: Kish -- research.

T+4: Eridu -- lighthouse.

T+6: I think the GS is born here - bulb philo.
Gold -- archer.
Horse -- research.
Probably pause here once.

Drama won't go on sale so a turn of 0% to avoid giving cash sounds good.

I'm not sure when we would revolt, but I assume we would want to wait until after the war is resolved. Nothing worse than needing an emergency whip when you're in anarchy.

What we revolt into in first place?

If we speak hindu that most likely would kill any trades with white. As we do not get much chance on green and both hindu monties are busy in the war already...

I would not revolt into hindu untill major tech brokering is done. If we revolt now we might as well not bulb with GS.

We would be revolting into monarchy (after picking it up in trade).

I think green will be folding to white soon - it doesn't appear to have many cities.

Everything went according to plan, and better.

Took the trade after 1 turn of 20% slider.

I then took a peek at indigo's city and saw it lightly defended. Charge!

And a nice deal:

I played to the GS being born. Here's the tech screen:

The stupid Monty's brokered drama around to everyone :( I think we should give the gift city to indigo near the iron up north so that we can tech trade and OB with him. The settler is in place for the clams to the west (need a garrison unit) and I settled the southern fish spot.

I'm going to pass off the save here :)

bbp (on deck)
kossin
soirana

I have not revolted to HR yet - we definitely should this turn.

Great work!
Damn those Vultures are good, we might almost tech to Construction and finish him off

Will look at the save when I get home but things are looking up, if we can manage to stay out of the war for a little longer. Is the barb city in the north still up for grabs?

:goodjob: shyuhe

Can't look at the save right now either.
Yeah, the barb city was my first thought, too. He obviously doesn't have it in the peace treaty screenshot, so I guess it is available.
Or, we could just dog pile Green? :D

tough to say what is best strategy straight now.

maybe i willlet mystyfly came with some ideas. Personally i would probably gift indigo city to green as this:
a) would help him not to cap to white
b) would probably eliminate us as land target for indigo
c) having zero wish to defend that city
d) would give us rades with green [small chance getting calendar for currency and we do need calendar rather badly.]

On other hand land is land and this might lead to picking up unnecesarry bad modifiers with white...

Not really sure i want to bulb philo with that pile of gold and current diplo situation.
