The South's gonna rise ag'in! And we're going to win it this time cause we're gonna use a captured secret Yankee weapon!

Let apart the tank... where the red uniforms come from?

Apart that, my turn to bring a funny pic:

Many volunteer units (I think both North and South) adopted the same uniform as the French Zouaves and fought as light infantry. I'm not sure why they adopted the Zouave outfit though.

In addition to that, I once read that a Louisiana-based "Garibaldi Legion" of Italians that fought for the Confederacy wore red jackets. Also, I tend to think that the men operating the artillery used red uniforms, though I don't know how accurate that thought is. :p

If Hitler was Christian doesn't seem to have a certain answer, Joseph Goebbels, Albert Speer, and Martin Bormann all thought he wasn't but Gerhard Engel and Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber thought he was.

I think those are Union uniforms. :p

The dull greys may be confederate, but I haven't seen a Confederate soldier dressed like that before.

Those are definitely Confederate. It's just a different colored uniform than the usual.

Because the Zouave uniform was flashy and well-known, and they desired to mirror their reputation. The units in question fought as light infantry, with some pretty unique tactics that made them dangerous on the battlefield.

And you shall have my pole after I am finished mounting your heads on it. :D

Hey, Eastern and Central Europe both already use metric. Don't bring Poland into this. I'm pretty sure North Africa uses metric too.

I'm inclined to say he wasn't Christian beyond having been baptized, although he wasn't atheist either. He was more than willing to use religion to win public favor, and Cardinal von Faulhaber wouldn't have known him especially intimately. Being fiercely anti-communist also helped him get in good with Christian leadership. For whatever, reason, this outweighed attempts to reintroduce Pagan elements into German culture in their minds. He also never participated in sacraments as an adult, and many prominent Nazi leaders noted him as making strongly anti-Christian statements in private. These are pretty much to verify of cours, but I haven't heard much compelling reason to doubt them. There also isn't much reason to believe he was opposed to theism in general, since Goebbels claimed he was "deeply religious but entirely anti-Christian" and Speer recorded him speaking well of Shinto and Islam for what he perceived as militant virtues more befitting the Aryan spirit.

So yeah, but the cartoonist and his Christian dude are wrong there.

What about Outer Mongolia, Poland's summer home?
