Did you up the hill height yourself or did Vincentz do that since I DL'ed .91?

What are we looking at there? Is it the weird snake things coming from the mine and the quarry?

No, it's from the Perfect Mongoose map script. I was playing around with the options, and that is what came up. Kind of fun actually, because for some reason the sight promo on this map script gives my units about a half tile extra sight range. Don't tell Vinz though, ok :please:

I recommend you try v.92, as Vinz made some tweaks that are pretty much guaranteed to make you say "WTH!?" My personal fav is the teleporting barbs INSIDE your CB's (I call it Gandalf'ing :)). I'm really enjoying this mod, and with Keldath thinking of making a modmod, it should get real interesting.

Vlad Draculea (I.E. Dracula) great noble in the alerts section.

Duh, how did I miss that? :p

Barbarian units capture city and move on; later barb animals wander in.

My answer was speculation. What turn was it? What level? It would be an event like Vedic archers that targets a city and then keeps moving. Animals start dieing when barbarians appear, but it could happen.

Or maybe it's prehistoric Disney filming the Lion King.

I was fooling around with the graphics, and thought it actually gave the landscape more characteristics by heightening the hills. I also heightened the mountains, but they became so tall, that it was difficult to select a unit behind them and impossible to move units to the spot.

He was actually a really nice guy. Sorta the pad on the shoulder chap "hey bro, get over here for a hug and an impaling" - type of guy. Would have made great friends with Genghis me thinks.

Interesting reading :

I think what Stee meant was that it was a extremely lucky hut, he wasn't implying that the picture was a fake. ( I think thats what the lol is for)

Empirically, the odds of getting Astronomy from a hut are around 1/20, if you already have all the other techs that you can get from huts.

Hard to say. There aren't many threads that last 4 years. :p

I'm 100% sure you are right on the Vedic archer event that brought down the Incan nation way before all animals died since the extinction period means one animal per turn. Compared to the regular barb unit, those generated from an event are led by a mission overwriting base script and is mainly targeting cities (or neighbouring units if overwhelming odd I think) until the stack is dissolved. Regular barb units will always leave one unit to defend because this action has the highest priority just like goody hut guarding. Where I'm perplexed is why lions happened by there. Not only barb animals have a different unique script without any reference to city defending, but also are always repulsed by any borders, even a city under resistance (meaning the 9 tiles around the city square are eschewed by all animals unless some unit to attack, but would run away from the city square as soon as they can).
