I find it strange that the "2kqa_c" build contains main game, and only both expansions. And the "smokeA" build is main game, both expansion AND DLC05 (Nubia).
What needs to change in DLC05, when "runner" launches? Some Nubia unique stuff needs adjusting, maybe? Or the scenario, maybe?

It contains more than that. That's just what was altered in the build update.

It should not be allowed to write a perfect story and not finish it for like 8 years. (Yes the main character is over the top ridiculous).

so in my industry which is not gamedev :< "Smoke" testing means that you are moving something (that should be finished and a package containing everything it needs to run) from one environment (say, dev) to another environment (I guess Steam) so you can make sure that it all got there intact and that it works.

The whole point is that he’s lying and embellishing much of the story, although there is a kernel of truth in his tale and he does have the capacity to sometimes do amazing things when he believes his own lies...

I really hope all this silence and waiting leads to something as amazing as Gathering Storm. I’m going to fairly cheesed off of the end of all this what we get is two leaders and a wonder.

Sounds similar to the "unreliable" narration style of Gene Wolfe. I hope whatever may be announced regarding Civilization 6 is something even more worthwhile than Gathering Storm. Personally I found it to be a rather disappointing addition to the experience.

I tried the first Kingkiller book and just couldn't get into it at all.

Back on topic but now that there is news, of a kind, slowly trickling in, maybe we should all lay off posting in here if it's literally just to veer off topic or whinge about the lack of official communication. Yes, it's been too long, we're all impatient for news, and news will come. The world won't end if this topic doesn't get bumped for a day because there's nothing new to add to the conversation.

IIRC, between 8 and 9 central, which would be 9-10 Firaxis time and 6-7 2K time.

I hope we get word soon. We are all very eager to find out what Runner is. Its been so long since we got any word from the civ team.

I’m just speculating, but those late night updates give off “crunch time” vibes. Could be a deadline coming up soon which means we could be hearing something. However I don’t want to get my hopes up either.

Runner hasn't been added to this branch, so if this is last-minute tweaks, it's a patch to already released content.

Runner most likely wont be updated until an official announcement is made. And the files that are added will be private, so we wont know what goes in it.

I doubt this is to rush out an emergency patch. These changes would have to be pushed to the other platforms as well and we aren't seeing that yet.
