To keep the main giveaway thread clean, this thread is for any question/comments you might have about the sweepstake. :)

lets just hope they stick around, and dont leave after this

It's only been like a day...6 more days of possible entries.

/me weeps as the chances dwindle.

I'll help everyone's chances by not entering since I already have the game. That means everyone owes me! :D

Me too... I suppose that I don't really need two copies!

I recommend an IP scan all those with 10 posts and less.

It's been great pub for the CFC and I assume GalCiv2. It'd be cool if even a portion of the newbies stuck around. That thread has taken off!

yeah, I'm staying out since I already have a copy, although my brother could use one...

I have a question: Why did I think it was a good idea to order the game less than 24 hours before the sweepstake was posted?

because this way you dont have to wait 6 extra days to order it, since your chances of winning are rather small

Yeah, the thought of multiple accounts from one person crossed my mind. :\

Does the "threads with 1000 posts get closed" rule apply to that thread ??
And if not; is there a maximum number of replies a thread can technically have on CFC ?

The most I've seen is somewhere over 4000 that Fall from Heaven has in the CivIV modpacks section and it's still going!

edit - 4155 replies!

So many entries.... We may need to shorten the sweepstake a bit from the current 7 days. :)

The longest thread we have is Rhye's Civilization modpack (for Civ3) thread, which is 6000 posts when it's closed for posting.

I, for one, have been a member for a while... just never had anything useful to post, so I didn't. Until now, that is. It was worth a shot.

Weighed by post-count to reward frequent posters? Might as well send the things to the users with the most posts and be done with it, then - that way, no dirty sub-10-post newbie can get their filthy paws on the shiny games however lucky they are.

I think this contest should reward members who contribute to the site. I suggest weighting all entries by postcount.

Hey, such contests are never fair. It happens often that the guy who participates ones in the lottery wins the big jackpot, while there are people who buy there whole live every week a lottery ticket and never win... That's just live, you know ;)
By the way, over 21,000 posts  that's, ...uhm... a lot
