Socralinnek, we agree about the 4-way tech alliance, at least it was too prolonged.
Tech trading was voted. Probably we should have voted at least "No Tech Brokering".
The 2 cities Amazon gave to CDZ could even be a part of an alliance treaty.
What i complain is that, see the point 3.4 of the game rules, any city gift must be approved by the Admins. Thus it should have been published in this thread or in another public one, so that any team was informed and the Admins can have approved.
Not doing so, you openly violated the game rules.
What scares me about this matter is that DaveMcW, once informed by myself about this matter, told me that he approved the cities gift.
Now, how can an Admin approve something in contrast with the game rules several turns after it happened?
You posted CDZ is not a vassal of Amazon. Now, can you please explain me why you gave them units when you have few more units than one per city? How do you think to survive? You can even be their best buddy, but you have seen what happens to Amazon allies.
Another thing which scares me is that an Admin solicited someone to take in charge Quatronia for the time CavScout is away.
Since we are supposed to be all opponents, with all our secrets and strategies, how can we accept that a team takes in charge another one turns?
This, and the conduct of CDZ makes me think that Amazon actually controls 3 teams.
Be aware, it's quite different from being an ally. Give to another team access to your turns means you're something different.
To say it all, there's one things which scares me more than any other:
Sirius had a NAP with Amazon, which included the ETT (later extended to CDZ and Quatronia) and which was indefinite.
We asked them to renegotiate it, since the last tech they gave to the ETT was Gunpowder and we continued to distribute techs almost for free.
Instead of an answer, which we were waiting for over a week, they declared war.
3 hours later they sent us a mail where they informed us that they cancelled the NAP.
It was clear to me that such a pact could have been cancelled with at least 1 turn of warnig. Cancelling the NAP would surely have alerted us. Amazon based all their strategy on that move. I am sure they moved units using the OB agreement (at least a galleon, surely fully loaded), then they declared. I remember clearly to have seen it in our borders and to have been puzzled on its presence in that place.
Obviously at the time i was far away to think Amazon would have ever break our NAP.
With all the above and the Admins or at least one of them demonstrating to not being able to actually manage this kind of disputes, i don't think it's worth to continue this game.
To not throw away over one year of this MTDG, i've put some conditions. We can discuss some minor detail, but basically they can't be changed.
