Then how do you know that he had a specific reason if you don't know what it was?

Moreover, how do you know that God will never tell you (or, in your case, a significant female relative) to have an abortion?

But God has implicitly killed or ordered the killing of pregnant women on multiple occasions- unless you believe that nobody was pregnant at the time of the Flood, or that the adulteresses stoned to death by the ancient Hebrews were never pregnant. It does not seem a tremendous leap of the imagination from the incidental to deliberate killing of a foetus.

I doubt you are in a position to say what God may and may not do. In fact, I remember you saying in another thread something about how God's explicit word overrides the rules he has set.
