GCF1 - Vikings

i too thought the same thing, but that would risk losing our more productive cities (WHICH CAN NOT HAPPEN)

we should also get a warrior or other unit for MP in Trondheim very soon

So India has horses, but no iron and we have neither horses nor iron? That leaves us with only one choice agianst India; Archers. And hopefully some Ancient Cavalry. :)

Yes, forget about archers, Ancient Cavalry can outclass anything at this time period, and can outclass anything without iron, with no problem. Until we can get them, we should build stacks of archers and 1-2 spearman, IMO.

maybe everyone started in the south or the north and It is a race to the good land. since ancient cavs spawn every 5 turns we should start to build some archers and block off the choke. Archers upgrade to berzerks.

make sure to build archers in cities w/ barracks, and the shield production is good in 1-2 cities so just get those workers to make the 'tundra road' to India.

GingerAle has finished his turns! His report is available at the GCF forum. Guess that means Håkon is up.

Wow, this goes fast. Right, got the save, and playing ASAP.

Inherited turn (1250 BC): Nothing.

IBT: Copenhagen worker -> barracks.

1 (1225 BC): Move units.

IBT: Maths -> MM.

2 (1200 BC): Change Trondheim Colossus -> SoZ (soz ;))

3 (1175 BC): Zz.

IBT: Bergen archer -> archer. Trondheim riots (I know!) Change lux tax to 10 %

4 (1150 BC): Send archer from Bergen to Stockholm. Change production in Oslo from warrior -> barracks.

IBT: Stockholm warrior -> barracks.

5-7 (1075 BC): Nothing much

IBT (1075-1050): Copenhagen barracks -> archer.

8 (1050 BC): Move units.

9 (1025 BC): Move units.

IBT: Trondheim Statue of Zeus -> Temple of Artemis.

10 (1000 BC): Move units.

Summary: I know the barracks cost money, but we're so far ahead in tech that we can just sell some to keep it going.

Nations are placed thusly: India NE of us. On the next continent, to the east, Celts and Carthage fight for glory. In the north, about 30 squares due north of Stockholm, is England. On the continent to the west of England lies Arabia, and to the west of Arabia lies Russia.

I know this is very premature, but given our current situation, it might be best to take out Carthage and Celts after India. Those two are going to be pretty small anyway, and their land might be useful. With the land of these four civilisations, Scandinavia may truly grow to a powerhouse.

No image. I'm lazy and nothing has changed much. ;)

<Insert snappy remark about how the game is going here>

well, if it is no problem w/ gogf this time, we should think about where to put the forbidden palace :lol:
also, we might want to settle that land directly west of us immidiately cuz it's not that far from capital and can build itself up before anyone tries to make a move on it.

Yup, but we need map making first :)
