Anarchy, chaos and barbarian rage
Preturn analysis - We still need to crank out settlers, our goal should be to take total control of our continent.
That means Carthage is in trouble.

But we cannot counquer Oea and Sabratha until they've grown, only destroy them. So I will leave Carthage alone for the time being, unless they get cooky.
There are lots of luxuries we can buy.
Lots of mined tundras near Bergen and Reykjavik? While that may be useful in the future, none of the two cities will have a population high enough to use them all anytime soon.
Århus and Ålesund needs to get connected.
Preturn - change Oslo from cata to harbor, need that to grow. We're building marketplaces with only one luxury? Change Delhi from marketplace to settler, Copenhagen from marketplace to aqueduct. Change Bodo from spearman to warrior. Send worker to connect Birka and Odense.
Send AC to take out barb camp.
IT - Boy, was I wrong about the barbs!

They steal a portion of ones
total treasury. We lose over 200g to the marauding barbarian hordes.
There was nothing I could have done to prevent it. Even if it would have been possible to rush a warrior (and it wasn't) he wouldn't have had a chance against the barbarian fury.
(1) 260 AD - sending workers to clear a road through the marslands above Hareid. AC finds that there are another barbarian horde in the camp above Oea; 13 horsemen. 3 ACs are sent to protect our workers. A spearman and a worker leave Bergen in a galley headed for the colonies. A spearman arrives to Bodo, a tad late

Buy spices from Arabia for Ivory and 79g, now we can zero the entertainment. In fact, we can have a
revolution, you know it's gonna be alright!
Seven turns of Anarchy coming right up! Adjusting some cities to avoid riots.
IT - The germans and the russians are building The Great Wall.
(2) 270 AD - AC finds a barb camp three squares above Hareid; 8 horsemen and 2 warriors. Gathering an attack force. Worker and spearman arrives at the colonies, one spearman is shifted out in a galley to guard the western colonies.
IT - The barbs leave their camp, but they're not coming for us, they seem to be headed for Cartages towns

England complete The Great Wall.
(3) 280 AD - Spearman arrives in Karasjok. Workers start clearing the marshland. AC disperse the barb camp. ACs kill 1 barbarian warrior, 3 horsemen.
IT - AC kill a barb horseman. The Celts are building the Hanging Gardens. The Arabs complete the Temple of Artemis.
(4) 290 AD - AC kill 1 barb horseman. The Celts have settled on
our homeland too!
IT - Soz produce AC. The Celts restart the Hanging Gardens, and complete it. (Obviously they switched from Temple of Artemis.)
(5) 300 AD - ACs kill the remaining 3 barb horsemen. A spearman is on his way for Molde, the last undefended city.
(6) 310 AD - Spearman arrives in Molde.
(7) 320 AD - Workers has cleared some marshland. ACs are heading for the next barb camp.
IT - A new kingdom arises from anarchy and chaos, long live King Ragnar Lodbrok of Scandinavia! 9 barb horsemen emerge from Sabrathas borders. Odd, was Sabratha to heavily guarded for them?
(8) 330 AD - adjusting cities. Alesund gets connected. Now when our production is back, is minimum science really a good choice? The only civ that's not at least two techs after us is Arabia. We will not be cashing in on the GL anytime soon. Either way, we want to see our berserkers raid our enemies villages as soon as possible, right?

We beeline for Invention! At -11 gpt we will get Engineering in 15 turns.
IT - All horsemen return to Sabratha, what's going on there? Reykjavik: spearman->temple.
(9) 340 AD - Gathering ACs to assault the second barb camp, the barbs have not moved anywhere...
IT - Russia demands Ivory, I refuse, they declare war. The GL gives us Republic. SoZ produce AC. Bergen: settler->spearman, Madras: worker->temple, Molde: warrior->worker,
Stavanger:worker->temple
(10) - Another settler and spearman leaves in a galley headed for the new colonies. ACs kill 3 barb horsemen.
Yep, Cizzlewalk was right, a barbarian uprising can be costly in ways more than one.
Expand more, and watch out for the russians
