What you've read is wrong. From what I have read the “kneeling as a form of protest” is a form being disrespectful for the American Flag, the anthem and to the US itself.

As well as a form of being a subservient to an ideology, a literal “bend the knee”, especially when whites do it.
Read the General's quote: ‘disrespectful for the American Flag, the anthem and to the US itself.’Kneeling is culturally universal sign of submission and/or reverence.
Pretty sure Kaepernick is the first person ever to be accused of disrespecting anything or anyone via kneeling.
Understandable. I coach football and a lot of people find it disrespectful including the other coaches on my team. That's how they want that form of peaceful protest painted. This is the first that I’ve heard such a thing applied to the civilian world. More likely just some horsehockey spin machine finding a way to politicize it for the culture wars.I think that the whole point is that servants complaining in their masters' faces is, by definition, out of place.
I myself am not a big sports person so I'm not in the know in the going ons with the sports world (Heck, I even hardly check up on the e-sports scene). Even when I first heard of it happening, I was initially puzzled as to why and went on my marry way doing my own thing.Understandable. Taking a knee on the field for an injured player has been a thing at least since I played in the 90s. My earliest memory of it was when Mike Utley broke his neck in 1991 and players and coaches were kneeling on the field as he was taken off on a stretcher.
I think attacking it as a disrespect thing is just a way of deflecting away from the actual thing being protested. Its frustrating to hear people rage about the disrespect to a symbol while the protest is over real human lives.
Nothing stops whites from showing solidarity. That said, it's not really the best of images to have black people kneel when white people can just stand up.
What happened is that the gesture was immediately mis-represented by about 40% of the population. And this will always happen, if it's any type of political issue. Kaepernick got quite a few interviews. Many articles were written about the respectfulness of his gesture, and then the 'right-wing' media machine was able to spin the message such that Trump thought his base wanted Kaepernick called an "SOB".Not that I'd expect Fox or CNN to do this, but i'd be nice if news outlets would have a small blirp about it on the background as to why player x took a knee and connect it with the armed forces on honoring their fallen soldier/sailor/airmen/marine in arms.
So... is chess racist or not?

Of course not. White's advantage is very small, can be negated by a little inaccuracy in play.Don't the black mostly play for a tie, when against an equally skilled player?
