George R.R. Martin starts a worldbuilding scholarship program

World building is used in other areas than novels such as video games but obviously I would assume such program would be quite biased and thus may not necessarily help everyone becoming better at world building because there are many ways you can approach such as subject and what makes one way right?

I found the old Prisoners of Gravity episode that deals with Clarion (and other workshops). Keep in mind that this is nearly 25 years old and pre-social media and discussion forums, but the main points are still valid (Prisoners of Gravity is a Canadian show where Rick Green interviews novel, short story, and comic book authors in the science fiction and fantasy genres).

One of the things Connie Willis said about critiquing is interesting: The more you critique others, the better you'll be at critiquing yourself.
