OK, that was fun! :D

I just got called into work, so Im done. I have to work a double-shift tomorow and saturday as well.

Thus, having built our first army (of cavalry), I will pass to the next player. LKendter can go now.

Factories rushed in Berlin (now Suffrage) and Munich (now Military Academy), the Heroic Epic underway in Schleswig.

:mwaha: I rule!

Good luck, LKendter!

Well I hope you all don't mind if I play this round without the new patch... their download server is very slow today, and when I downloaded yesterday Igot cut off... :/

Sound good? Or not?

I thought it was already announce it was my turn.
It is sounding like OhWell is about to play.

LKendter is up, then Ohwell.

You need the patch first, Ohwell. Otherwise we're not all on the same sheet of music. Ya?

In the future, lets try not to change the order of play, unless I change it in the first page. Or I will have to get "Prussian" on somebody. :whipped:

;)

Danke. Now lets go!

Pre-turn -
 We are in a middle of a war as factories become available
Screw new units, almost every town switches to Factory.

If this doesn't end quickly, I will offer peace. However, Elipi will be ours. We suck for luxuries.

1565 AD - Heroic Epic now building in Breslau with it's rushed factory. Elipi falls, but is recaptured :(
1570 AD - Ashur captured. Elipi is again captured.
1575 AD - Elipi and 20% luxuries make the people happy for the moment. Oh, the Uruk gems also came on-line. Begin research on Scientific Method.
1590 AD - Ur falls.
1595 AD - I watch my next Babylon city target get razed! Next up - replacable parts - we need artillery.
1600 AD - Heroic Epic cancelled in favor of ToE. We can always build small wonders. Akkad falls - Peace with Babylon, and we get Lagash in the deal. All that Babylon has left is an ice town. Well this sucks - Russia declares war on us. What a mess
Heroic Epic ordered again, this time in Dusseldorf - 5 turns, I think it will complete.
1605 AD - 3 more turns until I can cancel the alliance with Rome. One of the sickess deals I have done - Furs, Wines and Dyes for Silks. However, we can't afford to lose luxuries in the middle of a war. Russia takes Ellipi :(
1610 AD - Rome signs a peace treaty with Japan. We do the same, I hated to Japan $200, but we can't keep fighting a 2 front war.
1615 AD - Lots of factories come on line, and start pumping out war materials. Well I am glad I read these boards, our Calvary army kills 2 cossacks, and reclaims Ellipi.
1620 AD - Next up - Atomic Theory.
1625 AD - Military academy is completed - 15 turns for an army
1630 AD - Well, the Heroic Epic is finally completed.
1640 AD - Rome and Russian sign an alliance against Babylon, get one city is so tough
1645 AD - Finally, progress vs. Russia, Kiev is taken.
1655 AD - This is the round from HELL! Rome turns against us, and allies with Russia.

Summary -
The palace is building up shields for Hoover - That is the big goal.
I have us a paper thin rail net connecting our cities, expand it!

Can we get Japan to attk Rome now? And the Indians too to join our side? Always fun to play off the enemy civs against each other. :mwaha:

Otherwise, the Russians and Romans may get them to fight us instead.

Things don't seem so bad. We are causing havoc on the other continent and the home front sounds stable.

The Germans just can't seem to stay out of wars. They're so darn militaristic.:D

BTW, we're still a republic aren't we? We didn't have to go commie to fight these guys did we?

We are still republic for the moment.

Peace with Japan / Babylon helped a lot with the war weariness.
The new luxuries from Babylon have helped also.

However, I don't think our republic will survive much longer if we keep figthing...

The good news - we have boomers now. Several artillery units on the new continent. They have already helped kill stray units, and are ready to blow up the next Russian town :)

Multiple factories on line - However to much production is military - we could use the happy boast from Cathedrals / money boast from market places etc ...

Ha- Ha!

I sure am having fun with this new patch! Ok I will stop, and download, and Kill Russia, and post the file and summary. :)

It is great to be civ- enabled! You know, three weeks without Civ makes it SO much more fun when you get it back :)

Good work, Lee! Excellent round.

Whatever happens, PLEASE do not switch to Communism this time. I'll even take Monarchy over that any day.

I hate Communism in Civ3. Shared corruption! Pfft!

Ohwell is busy, so Herr Donsig is up now.

Give 'em hell.

I am confused. Didn't ohwell just post that he was taking turn or did you get an update thru an instant messenger?

I thought Ohwell was playing now, too!

I'm at work now (Saturday MORNING). I don't usually work at this time but here I am. I'll be home in about 8 hours and will play then.

Ohwell: if you're already playing please post and I'll wait till you're done!:)

We should switch over to infantry only. The first 3 turns were a massacre for the cavalry, though we managed to get St. Petersburg. 6 Cavalry and an entire Cavalry army died attacking Moscow, and not a single defender died. After that turn, I surrendered to Russia, though I have something up my sleeve that the next player should follow.

Turn 0. Before playing my turns, I put an Embassy in Japan and Told them to attack Rome. They did so for Furs, Wines and Dyes. They would not attack Russia unless we gave them tech, which I said NO to.

Turn 1. Russian Cossacks take Ellipi, defended with Riflemen. Our Scientists made the Atomic Theory, and went on to build Electronics. Our wish came true, and the Japanese attacked Russia for free, maybe just to get some cities. Our forces captured St. petersburg with only one Cavalry regiment lost. St. Petersburg was then heavily fortified. Our Cavalry then Captured Odessa.

Turn 2. Berlin grants Universal Suffrage, and the Women don't seem to stop rebelling though:lol: . 2 Cavalry attack Moscow, and retreat. Another 2 attack and are destroyed, and the Army attacks. It is lost, with only one damage on the riflemen:mad: .
Ellipi is liberated by a rifleman, who kills the stupid Cossacks.

Turn 3. Ellipi once again captured by Russia, we gave up on that crappy city anyway. St. Petersburg Resistance ends, we rush a library.

4. Our galleons are being pummeled by thr Russian Navy, we need more Ironclads! 3 More cavalry are killed attacking Moscow. Wearied by the War, Chancellor Hammers surrenders to the Inferior Russians, though with a Right of Passage. He has a trick up his sleeve... St. Petersburg Rushes a Courthouse. St. Petersburg has a culture expansion, and is unlikely to flip because there is an enormous military presence :)

5. People Celebrating about the end of the war with Russia, though Rome is still at war. Temples in New Germany Rushed.

6. Nada.

7. Russia Kills Babylon  New army finished, though unfilled. 4 galleons arrive near Koenigsberg, and are filled by infantry, cavalry, artillery, and the unloaded army. A nearby city rushes a ironclad to escort.

8. St. Petersburg builds a temple, as well as other cities.

9. Electronics discovered, now researching the Corporation. Dussledorf building the Hoover Dam.

10. Romans offer peace, we accept for a ROP. Theory of Evolution completed, we get the COpration, and Steel. We are now researching Refining. The FOur galleons unload near moscow.

-IMPORTANT- Keep all the units that are in ST. Peters there, we don't want a culture flip. Put the unloaded units by Moscow on a mountain, and attack when the ROP is finished. I did some good setting up for the next player, use the forces near Moscow and in St. Petersburg wisely. The stack near Moscow contains an unloaded army, I suggest it be filled with infantry.

Remember, we have ROP's with ROme and Russia now, so we can send some galleons to Rome as well :mwaha:

Why is our navy so SMALL!! I build a few ironclads. I guess I am only one to value a good big navy. Our galleons were being pummeled in the first three turns.
