Getting extra barbs to kill

Twice in a game a noticed this, maybe already known. If I take an empty barb camp it disappears... but if I settle next to it.....

This was a funny mistake the first time I did it. Back-filling cities with all of the army on a far away front meant I had to buy a unit to deal with it.

Yea, that is pretty weird. I've had it happen too. I assume it's a glitch, and not meant to work that way. Maybe they'll fix it in a patch someday, along with other minor issues.
