Gifting Games, Freebies, and Sales I

Ooooh, okay! Can I please try Purrfect Date? :)

If you want more, feel free to look through the thread, I and a few other posters have also put up lists of available games.

I've added links to the substantial member lists in the first post so now people don't have to go trawling for lists.

Which leads me to... @Chukchi Husky: do you still have a Steam key for Dead Space 2? If so, I'd love to have it. :)

It is, yes. As such, you will need to have good reflexes and spatial awareness (or a high perseverance threshold).

I've updated my list.

Added: Earth Defense Force 4.1 (ft. nearly 20 individual DLCs...), Rapture Rejects (ft. 1 DLC), Rock of Ages 2, Full Metal Furies, Aaero, Bleed 2, Super Daryl Deluxe

Mega Man Legacy Collection

As someone who already owns the collection (and played the NES games on the wii. And the gamecube. And many other places), it's a hearty recommendation from me if anyone is sitting on the fence on this one. These games still hold up from the 80s as some of the best 2D action games ever made. The soundtracks are legendary, the stages and bosses memorable, and there's some challenge modes built into this release if you're into that kind of stuff.

My only complaint is that this is a series that is meant to be played with a controller. I don't really enjoy playing it on a keyboard. It's possible, but it feels awkward. You're probably at least going to need to rebind the default controls because they're not that intuitively placed (and if you're used to movement on the left and shooting on the right, like it has been since the NES, they for whatever reason swapped that for the default keyboard controls). These games are also somewhat artificially hard, as many NES games were due to trying to push the time to content ratio. The US release of 2 actually was made easier to give a more reasonable challenge as a way to incentivize sales in the west (the first one didn't sell well here), so if you have no experience with the series, I'd recommend starting with 2 rather than 1. It also helps 2 is in general the best game in the series.

Is it just me or have the humble bundles gotten a lot crap since the company was sold ?
I use to buy a lot of $1 and $5 tier bundles which generally had one or two good games per tier but now it seems to be all rubbish and they put all the good stuff at tier 3 (the most expensive bundle)

Tacoma is free from Humble Bundle right now.

If your rig isn't very good, I can't recommend it. It's a walking simulator but the performance/optimization is atrocious. You'll spend more of your time staring at loading screens than playing the game.

The content itself is... passable. Not especially compelling. But it's free, so...

Humble bundle giveway again Jalopy

Another free giveaway on GOG: Postal 2

And with that my total of GOG games has broken through the 600 barrier.
