Give me 18, but not on Earth - new PBEM

I am proposing a new game here first because so many are active.

I am not the greatest BTS player out there but I have what's needed to compete. This game is absolutely thrilling to me but like a drug, I want more and thats why I incorporate a RPG element to those games I join, most of my games are not full of it but here and there there is.

This game will be no different, well actually in this new game it will be required,

I am a stern and powerful leader just like the AI! The AI will tell you he thinks your head would look nice on the end of his spear but for some reason when a human makes that statement it is a lot different. I will beg, doublecross, open complex trading negotiations or be the best ally you'll ever have etc. The point is I like to connect with you! I want to give you all that I can and get the same in return.
I am not a writer nor do I have any formal training, I just look at what the game is presenting me and say what comes to mind :)

Ormylar you are up... I only have about 2 more hours here tonight before I will be out of the loop for 24 hours...
 
Wow... so there's like 3 people around me.... if there's one thing that really bugs me, it's being surrounded by civs and getting squished.. but that's part of the challenge. This should be an interesting game. xD xD
 
Hut #5 pops 4 barb warriors ;)

Don't think universal peace applies to barbs... couldn't use my 3 moves to run away since the hut was on a hill.

At least the barbs are nearer someone else than me ;)

image if all civ from the beginning of time survived. in fact there are very few if any left today.

Yes I would agree - I fully expect that by the time we enter the 5th year of this game there will only be about 6 civs left... This is like the NCAA tournament in a way - there may be a LOT of early knockouts!

Don't worry though, I am totally willing to start a new 18 man game after 3000 years or so pass in this game and people start getting knocked out. The "mirror game" just isnt going to happen, but a sequel just might!

Also - its a familiar theme Ormylar... if you'll notice its only like turn 7 and already people are meeting each other... 18 people on a huge map is a lot. There are a few land masses which will be "new world" like (although small) but my experience with Techtonics is that just about all of us will be pretty close together and on average be able to fit about 4-5 mediocre cities using all available landmass before there will have to be fights for space... this is not a game for the faint of heart, I'll tell you that. I fully expect this "universal peace" will NOT continue very long!

GOOD! You deserve to get 4 barb warriors to kill your workers! 5 huts is just ridiculous, I'm going to end up getting 2 guaranteed, maybe 3 if I get lucky, but 5... thats ridiculous... damn Indians
 
I thought you said fast workers were overrated?

2 techs + 2 gold pops tells me no. Worth losing a fast worker for, anyway.

Ok yes, right now they are a nice little move for the super early stages... but its short lived!! I'd much rather have a key military unit that I can work with when this game REALLY becomes a competition...
 
The wheel, pottery. Doesn't sound too short lived to me ;) Plus a nice stash of gold for 100% research later.
 
Wow, we are moving along quite faster than I expected, keep it up guys! (I know that the game is going to pause for a about a week now with Tudaio on vacation).
 
Guys my internet is down:mad:, in the worst case I´m offline till mid next week. At least the timing isn´t that bad as Tudaio is on vacation. I´ll try to check my mails but on weekends I dont know if I can get free access
