Preturn:
I believe capturing Sevastopol is the key. Make use of Russian Rails to destroy them.

I also disagree with investing on bombers. We are playing 5CC so our bombers are only effective if we escort them on carriers with battleships. To me, that is costly and not effective at all. Better we concentrate on artilleries.

I also plan to rail into Russian territory so that our injured troops can speed back to our cities to heal in 1 turn.

This is my battleplan.

Sevastopol then Moscow, striking downward through the entire Russian Peninsula, leaving the western russian cities to the indian army, as a buffer from our only other opponent.

So here we go.

1752:
MM cities to make units in 1.

Berlin produces 90 shields - make inf.
Vine,Ivory,Dye produces 80 shields - make art,cav.
Coast makes battleship in 1, after which I will rush an airport with our leader.

2 vet inf kills 2 marauding cossacks, one promotes.

I abandon the assault on Odessa for now, and move all troops onto Moscow.

Returning carrier near Coast city to combine with next turn battleship.

1754:
Hmm, airport only needs 2 turns, what the heck.

I ran some of our redlined troops back home for healing, especially our cav army. Healing in the open is going to take forever.

Hmm, the wierdest thing happened to me, our oil source was depleted and it respawned on the same square again. :D

Wait a minute, we can't send troops over to the over continent by air, since we can't make another city. Hmm, that would mean we need lots of transports. My bad.

BTW, Russia has no rubber so I aim to cripple her if not totally kick her out of the game. I realise Russia is after India so I will just reduce her to 1 city and transfer all units to the indian front.

Summary

(1) Operation Barbarossa is almost complete, Russians are now a 4CC. Panzers with auxillary cavs are in striking distance of Tblisi. Let Panzers lead the way and Tblisi should fall without much of a problem.

(2) Operation Vegetarian Curry is almost ready to commence. A task force of art,inf and panzers are inching towards the Indian capital, Delhi. It should be able to join forces with troops from Operation Barbarossa once Tblisi and Bombay are dealt with. The doors to the heart of India is wide open.

(3) Production is concentrating on making panzers at 1 a turn for all cities except Coast which is making transports. With our golden age, clearing up our continent should be pretty easy.

(4) Research is now on computing to get mech inf. However, if we decide to go for Space victory, we might want to switch Space flight, or after computing. Therefore, making use of our GA to make the space components. If we are going for Conquest. We should get mech inf and modern armour and cut all research, i.e. computing, ecology, synthetic fibers.

I dare say that a conquest victory is tougher because of the continent crossing. But not impossible. Noting that the other continent have but 1 source of oil (please check to confirm), a rush occupation with mech inf should seal the game for us.

(5) I have made colonies on every lux and resource. The purpose is to
(a) Build "watchtowers" against AI expansion.
(b) Provide aggressive lures for AI to attack instead of our cities.
(c) We have way too many slaves.

(6) We have a number of cavalries healing in Dye city, which can reinforce Task force A or B as necessary.

(7) Haha!!! I just realised that Bebe was pillaging during his turn and I was building during mine. Now that's a difference in strategy. It all comes down to my obession with mobility. :D

Right now, I am playing the redux SG. After that comes a 31 civ super SG. Then this one.

Oh, 2 extra things.

(8) We have an empty army outside Dye for filling. However, I rather keep our Panzers individually for multiple assaults. Our Panzers rule the lands so a Panzer Army is an overkill IMHO, plus ties 3 Panzers down unneccesarily. However, it is up to you, Stapel.

(9) Those Carriers are slower than my grandmother, I have half a heart of disbanding them, along with the bombers. Being a 5CC without airfield construction ability of PTW, personally, I think they suck big time. Plus they force me to hold back our faster destroyers and battleships for fear of retaliation.

Two questions:

Is it ok to make peace with Russia for 5 of theri 6 citires, and then immediately destroy those cities?

Why not leave India for what it is for a few turns (but stay at war), and bash the Babs? They are in our territory and will defenitely start a war, when we tell them to back off! After we raze some cities, we will get Amfibious Warfare for it.
 
In the spirit of a 5CC, I'd say no. We should just wipe them out the old fashion way.

Good idea, just make sure the cities are defended in case they decide to drop some troops next to our cities.
 
While the Babs might be a pain in the neck, we might want to keep them on our side, since they are supposed to be our last victim.

I'd say when Cathy is dead, we can make peace with her. Let's press on and keep fighting the Russians and Indians. We can leave Cathy as an OCC on her southern island for a while. As we set up to kill the Zulus.

Make peace with Rusians: goodbye War weariness. Also use a RoP, in order to crush Delhi right now. That way, we can get a free ride with the stack of artillery that is in Delhi area rigth now, but to far to bomb it. I see we only have 24 arillery. Hmmm..

IT:Shaka wants oil. We say no: war. Shaka kills some wounded panzers. But, Ithink this will make it easier!

-Raze Babylonina Dacca and its formidable fleet and airforce.

In short: I do not expect to get another turn. Russia almost gone, India almost gone. Babylon bleeding.

That makes it 3 SGs to get passed to me in about 4 hours.:lol: Playing Go4 now, and this one will be next.
 
I did take the afternoon off from work yesterday. These turns were really great to play. I had 10 turns of Golden Age.

Some things to overthink:
-We are at war with India, Zulu and Babylon.
-Computers in 1 turn
-We cannot wipe out India right now, as that would mean we should deaclare war to Russia.
-We still have 10 turns of peace to go with Russia.

Our continent is free of Zulu and Babylonian cities.

I think the best option is: Make peace with the Babs right away. They will give us anything they have. Then go smash the Zulu. We have quite a force (panzers + artilerry) on the Persian / Zulu / Babylon continent. A RoP with the Persian will make it quite easy to hurt the Zulu real hard. I think 20 turns is sufficient to wipe them out completely.
