GoobNES01: Fallout [Third Thread]

Official GoobNES01: Fallout Awards
Diclaimer: these are handed out as I saw fit. I mean, naturally, not to be insulting, and keep in mind this is the first time I have ever done awards. I will try to be constructive. I, personally, don’t like the idea of winning, or awards, and I am not very competitive. Take these with a grain of salt.

Player Awards

Overall Winner: Well, that is a tough one. How do I judge this? Well, I am going to look at which nation progressed, socially, economically, and overall, the most. I, personally, think that the winner is China. Alex did an excellent job of taking his country from Communism to Capitalism, with an economy that was massive. He was not a great politician or diplomat though. India, Germany, Russia, and the USE are all probably runner-ups. Josef did a good job with Europe, but, at the end, didn’t do enough to keep it together. Silver did a good job with India, and could have won, since India progressed the most, but alex was ahead. Also, silver, you can be a bit insane at times. Panda, if you had stuck with Germany, you could have been a superstar. But, you lacked the time. Stormy, well, you and Russia were the diplomatic and political winners. You, at times, seemed to have total control of the world. You didn’t, however, do as much for your economy as I think you could have.
Best Diplomatic Player: Stormy. Unquestionable. Your tactics were, at times, ruthless, but your diplomacy was excellent. Gelion, Josef and Contempt were also fairly good at Diplomacy.
Best Political Player: I think the best politics was done by BananaLee, back when he was active and in charge of Malaysia. I forget the name, but his organization, ASEAN or something like that, was quite powerful. Then he got inactive and that was that. Silver also did some good politics, I thought, especially with Pakistan.
Best Military Player: I am not sure about this one. Names that come to mind are Panda, I recall you did a good blitz of parts of Europe, possibly Josef, except for your intense troubles in Northern Africa, or Stormy, remember the USA? I am not sure who the best is here.
Best Story-writer: Stormy. ‘nuff said.
Most Persistent Player: I think Toteone takes this one. I remember being bombarded by E-mails all the time about this and that and the other thing. You kept me on my toes!
Most Innovative Player: Hrm, Contempt? You had some projects going which were really amazing. Gelion as well was doing some amazing things, unfortunately, not all got completed.
Best Orders: BananaLee and Josef share this one. I could easily follow both of their orders.

Nation Awards

Greatest Power: Russia. Although the Chinese Dragon, the Indian Tiger, and the Germans were catching up …
Biggest Rise: I am also not sure about this one. Pretty much all of you came from nations that were badly Nuclear-damaged, and rebuilt them. Germany came from an especially badly battered nation, but so did Russia and the USA. New Zealand is also on the list, your economy was quite something, Toteone!
Most Influential Nation: Russia.
Funniest Nation: South Africa. No offense Feanor, but you did some crazy stuff there. USE also gave me some laughs, and India.
Most Surprising: Yugoslavia. I seriously didn’t expect you, Cleric, to keep your country together, nor to start democratic reforms.
Evilest Empire: Brazil was doing some very evil things, like the Tsunamis, or the Nukes underwater, but Russia did some very mean things as well. Brazil, however, takes the cake.
Most Screwed-up Nation: Nigeria-Comeroon. South Africa kept on attacking you, and attacking you, your economy was, sadly, just in ruins at times. Yet, somehow, you kept going Dexter, which is a good thing about you.
Strongest Military: Russia, and allies.
Largest Nation: Russia. Also, South Africa was also large, and the USE, at one point. And China.
Smallest Nation: Commonwealth Union. Yet your economy was quite powerful. Not I don’t include your colonies.
Strongest Economy: China. And it was getting stronger.
Most Technologically Advanced: I honestly don’t remember. Possibly Russia or Brazil or USE … I am not sure. Fight over this one :p

These have been adapted from das. Thanks. I am working on putting all Updates in a Word Document, not sure when I can do that.

:D I am the overall winner!

AND some people say that being someone's vassal in everything in name was bad... ;)

Though for this reward I must thank my Overlord Russia in everything but name by attacking people with rising economies that could have threatened my award. Like the USA, Islamic Nations, taking down Australia and India and so on. :D

I think those of us (such as me) who joined late and tried to reform our countries (such as my Bulgaria) into a democracy (such as I tried) should get some award
*bitter*

Yes, the rumors are true, I have plans for an even better NES. Not sure when I will get time for it, but probably by Summer. Now taht I have experience of one NES under my belt, I hope to do the next even better ...

And ya, sorry Kam, it's been awhile since I last modded, unfortunately, I have kinda forgotten who played what, and some events. 'tis life, unfortunately. Y'all are winners in my books, though ;)

And to those whom I told the name of my NES, please don't say anything!

TELL ME OR DIE!!!! Anyways, I demand any forms of China in your future nes :p

I got the "most evil guy award"! woho!!!

Yes, I decided that you were just plain evil, and Russia was just plain mean-spirited. I remember you ordering a village of Indians to be killed for no apparent reason, and the Tsunami, THAT is evil, not mean like Stormy was.

alex, hold your horses. All that I can say is that it will be a bit like this NES, the time periods that is. The politics, totally different ...

Oh and I dont get points for slaughtering North Africans with; Anthrax, Sarin, and i think 4 other biological agents, as WELL as nuclear!

Or sending submarines up to the coast to detonate nuclear weapons randomly? nothing for that?

You're welcome. Now give me the "most persistant lurker" award. ;)

Well yeah but all that was for a greater goal of making commies occupy with their own stuff rather than invading me. Remember I was plain fashist.
At least the projects were good also :).

This NES was practically me yelling One More Turn for the completion of my projects.Cloning was good fun!!!I had crazy surveilance idea going,Helios AI would supervise and see all of Internet and global communication everywhere ! Just one more Turn!!!!And a backup plan of cloning the world leaders and a Clone Army*plays Imperial march*,yes I remember the crazy things I tried to covince Goober into leting me start, but failed misearbly.

Also if there is Yugoslavia in your future NES,I reserve it! :)

AND I demand crazy projects like this!

Yes, das was apparently The Most Persistent Lurker, but I see no evidence! :p

Yes, Cleric, that will come all in good time. And ya, you had some crazy stuff in the works there. Cool, but craxy.

Josef, that was crazy, not evil. And sorta mean, but mostly crazy! :p

I just remember an evil thing I did(I mean besides those sattelites wired to blow at the death of Klerikov),like initating starvation in Romania!I kinda started/wanted to take control, but then I abandoned the effort.Of course the Tsunamis blow that out the water in terms of pure evilNES!

Hey I did that for good!!!! I may have postponed the Russian invasion of America or other evil communist plans.

I also had plans to destroy the entire poppulation of Earth if anything happened to Brazil, but I told that so many times to people (as deterrant) it is not even a secret.

By the way Goobs I think Moria should have survived :p

Well, I have witnesses. Just ask the mod of NES2 V... ;)

lurker's comment: And from the sound of things, totally copied from Deus Ex, Star Wars, et al. ;) :p

Interesting to see these awards, even if the tech level for that NES went... well, sort of like a freight train hitting a penny. With nuclear waste on board. And Steven Seagal. Forming some sort of Godzilla-esque Steven Seagal cyborg.

Good NES to lurk anyway.

Shhhh silence, they musnt know the source of my inspiration.Bob Page.Enough said.
