We have 4 transports for the town on the island. We have 4 tank armies that can be loaded and an infantry army. I left 3 of them to get to full health or they can be moved now.
We have 2 cav armies as well on the island.

Rails should be up to allow movement next turn. We can then load all we want of the left over armies and elite tanks, plus 2 arties. Since the landing site is next to our new island.
We need one of the slaves of course.

There are 4 ships off of France Gone. I did not ping them as I was thinking that it is better to let them get someplace where they can be sunk.

Sorry it took me so long just to get in 7 turns. Did not have even one night that I could use the whole evening to play. I did not want to use any of the weekend to get in a few more, so I will pass it on here.

I have a BB trying to met up with a stack of transports coming around the horn. There is an empty army on the mainland that can move with the next transports on the next turn. Several DD's are there with no movement left.

Getting tired, so I probably left out something, but hopefully not critical.

I thought is was kind of funny that I nealry lost 2 elite tanks to spears and I am not even sure either were even at full health. Several others retreated from spears.

Since that was the only unit that was lost, it even stranger.

our beachhead holds and will give us lux #5 next turn (wine). We have started to raze Persian cities. During turn 6 we gained 7 armies within 25 kills :cool:

We have now a total of 56 armies and 30 of them are on Greek continent

I knew I forgot something. I am sure you noticed it, but had stacked up some tanks on the airfields on the mainland, so you could fly them over as soon as you got an airfield on the other land.

did not need them on the island and no need to build more airfields there as we can ferry them.

the situation

in the north, we have a stack of artillery that helps to take the Korean cites, their best defenders are rifles

In the south, we can continue campaign against Greek, however, their cities are big and have infantry, we need plenty of tank armies there
the green arrow shows that there are 3 heavily wounded tank armies under the inf army that should go back to new Hope next turn for instant healing

blue arrow indicates the path of reinforcement
we can fly our units to that island and ship them in via transports the next turn. It works excellent.

In our homeland we do have airfields in the mountains south of the capital and in the ice in the northeast

we will get rocketry next turn and I strongly suggest to go for modern armor, thus we need ecology which can be done in 6 turns at a slight deficit

At the rate we get armies, I switched off our manual army builds. We have 63 and can currently from 76 (304 cities). 5 are currently empty and maybe we should keep some for MA, those will really rock

Not seeing the need to have done AW so soon, just to go after one Dutch city? It could be bombed to nothing but a size one empty place. No flips have occurred.

I forget the location, but I counted out 13 tiles from the nearest Greek town and that would have been a good place for the beachhead as it could only be bombed from a carrier.
 
Excellent turn, ThERat, Great work burning off the enemy units! We may get a few more rushes from other civs in markh's turn, but it sounds like we should be able to handle it after surviving that. Soon we will make real progress and once we get Modern Armor it will be slaughter.

We are going to want to go for Conquest. markh if you can send 2-3 cav armies toward the final continent (spanish)- I think we can just mostly raze the cities there - this assumes the tech of those 3 civs are still fairly low. But we should at least have boats ready to get there.
 
@vmxa, maybe I should have been a little more detailed in reasoning.

The town was planted in a location that is close to Greece, not too close. It can be reached easily from the other Island. A transport can get there and back in 1 turn. More important was, that it's hilly there, units can't just rush there...wine are now enabling us to have lux at 10%...

The reason for doing amphibious warfare was simple. We already could do it at 0% science with just a few scientists more. If we would have gone for the more costly techs first, later we would have had the awfully tedious job of reassigning scientists to taxmen. I wanted to get that cheap tech out of the way before going for the more expensive stuff.

We do have 2 cav armies in Zulu/ Spanish land, we can send more over once we don't need those in our own land for fog busting any longer.
 
I understand about the transport, it was my first thought as well. Not sure which is the best way, but there is no need to transport things, if you found outside of the Greek bombers range.

You can hold the airfield and fly over all the tanks and the armies can get there in one turn or two with no danger. The other location had lots of hills as well.

I just do not see any need to research AW, until after MA. The Dutch were not doing us any harm and we could get the armor 3 turns sooner.

Not only that, but then we do not have to found the extra town on the US island. That free up those armies on the mainland sooner, as we found the town there instead.

The objective isn't to save armies, it's to kill bad guys. Considering it contributed to crippling the offensive capabilities of Persia, I consider it an acceptable trade.
 
Armies do not contribute anything if they are dead. It is mainly the tank armies that are do the damage. My only point is that 2 inf armies are not going to hold off scores of cavs and probably not scores of anything.

That getting there with 1 inf and 3 or 4 cav armies is just going to get them killed. We needed 4 or more armies made up of tanks and or inf. That is what was ready to ship over.

Couple that with 15 o r so tanks ready to fly to an airfield and you now can do something.
 
I think it is fairly clear in my original post that I was suggesting that the infantry armies along with the 20-so bombers stationed on the American island would cause significant casualties on the AI as only the Greeks would be in a position to intercept any aircraft.

edit: looking over the latest save, the hundreds of units we're dealing with tells me that 20 bombers or 20 tanks won't do as much as we suppose. Gotta start thinking bigger.

Agree we want to get modern armor ASAP. Greece has electronics and will be into the modern age after they get Motorized Trans.
