I've uploaded my "1066 AD for BTS" scenario to the DL Database and started a thread for comments, but accidentally placed the link to the file itself instead of to the DL page. I've tried to correct this, but failed. How can I correct this? (I need to include thelinks to the DL page and my thread, but don't know how.)

For forum post, you can click the edit button at the bottom right of the post.

For file entry in the DL database, you can edit the entry by clicking the "[Edit File]" link next to the download link.

Ok, thnx Thunderfall, I know how to edit, but I entered the DL file by typing the link supplied with my initial upload. What I don't know is what to type for linking to and fro. What lines identify the thread I started for posting comments and the link back to the DL page. (I have a "1000 AD for Sevomod" scenario waiting for upload...)

Just open the game, click "Advanced", then click "Check for Updates".

I just downloaded a remodling of greek units file and put it in my MODS folder, but for some reason when I loaded the Mod and started playing (i was the greeks) the units didn't change?

Well now, isn't it nice to know you guys decided to be like Filefront? You know, going "lulz u cant hav dis file n00b" and making it an absolute NIGHTMARE to download something.

For the past 3 HOURS I have been trying to download http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=6999 and getting this stupid "lolz ur goin 2 fazt plz w8 lolz" message. I'm going to fast!?? I waited 30 minutes for trying on one of them!

But, your crappy little rip-off downloading system makes it impossible. It's making me unbelievably frustrated and it's just ridiculous.

Honestly, to anyone who reads this. Don't bother downloading ANYTHING from this site, you won't get it.

I would like to apologize for my earlier rudeness. After several hours and much brainstorming, I downloaded Firefox and tried again, and it worked.

So, if you could delete my first post, that'd be excellent so we could try this again.

What were you using before? I use Internet Explorer and have never had any problems downloading things here.

The link on your post to the file upload guide doesn't work for me. I am told:

pi4t, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

Nearly thread necro, but doesn't matter, it fits here best:

1) What about a section for modmods and mod patches?
This would lead to some more space in the normal mod download section.

2) It seems, that the DB has lost some files since the database hack.
0d1n3oo3Broad's whole maps have (had) been lost, and i'm sure, that i've downloaded them from here.

3) Is there no built-in way to report a file?
I can't see a way to do it.
