On computers with low graphics capabilities, feature don't adapt to height, but are all on the fixed lowland height. Consequence of this for Planetfall is, because fungus is low to the ground, it is in fact completely invisible on these computers.
A solution to this is using a seperate XML for low-end gfx users, and setting the TileArtType of Forest, Jungle and Xenofungus from TILE_ART_TYPE_TREES to TILE_ART_TYPE_NONE.
While the features are now visible, it does have some annoying side-effects. The feature extends in high density over the entire plot, with as consequence it can be hard to see rivers and the "hill" border signifier between highlands and lowlands.

Therefore I was wondering if it's possible to modify the xxx15_01.nifs for xenofungus, forest and jungle, so that the feature wouldn't cover the edges of the plot or appear in lesser density or so. Not absolutely necessary since a low-graphics patch can be used, but is such a change possible without causing problems for high graphics file users?
Do people actually read this thread, or would starting a seperate thread have a higher chance for success?
