Hey all - I'm working on the Rhye's and Fall of the Greek World thread and looking for some ancient wonders graphics. Here are three that we definitely want in the mod:

Yazilikaya - this one may be difficult to make, but here's a site which has several overhead, Civ4 map-style pictures that might be doable. There's a photo on the top, and then an architectural diagram towards the bottom.

The Taq-i Kisra, or Great Arch of Ctesiphon. This one is really cool, and would stand out on a Civ4 map. A Google Image search has lots of great pictures. Here's a drawing of a more completed version (it's not in as good of shape now.

The Gate of All Nations - there are pretty good photos of the remains of it, such as this one. Perhaps even better than that, there's a Persepolis 3D project which has 3D polygonal representations of the Gate.

The first request is totally new, the second exists I think in the Total Realism mod, and it looks like the third could use the Lion Gate but retextured.

Not that I can do these requests, mind you.

I'd like to request the Harmandir Sahib for JARM. I don't think it has been done yet, but I have seen similar buildings so it shouldn't be too difficult for one of you architects to throw together.

I'm looking to get the game to ignore the command to upgrade city and improvement graphics beyond industrial era.

I don't want to ELIMINATE the modern/future eras, only the graphics.

For that, you'll have to modify the XML\Buidlings\PlotLSystem.xml and the XML\Buidlings\CityLSystem.xml, which are the probably most difficult XML files in civ -> no way, that anybody else will do it.

I know those are the XML files I need to change (and I have dabbled here and there within them looking for the right entries...but no luck), but there are so many entries I'm not really sure where to begin.

I too, doubt that anyone will change the XML for me, but I hope someone can point the way?
