I'll think of something to post and see if I can something up soon. If I don't put up a map within 12 hours it's open floor.

I don't think this is going to be very difficult.

No. If you guys didn't notice, Singapore #1 and Kuwait #2. Hong Kong would probably be tied with Singapore if I colored it.

Right, I was hoping that Kuwait and Singapore were depressing enough or wealthy enough to import lots of kangaroos...

^That was my original guess, but Singapore is one city, isn't it?

Anyway, it may be the answer anyway, or slightly altered to "percentage of population in the larger cities next to the rest". Although Turkey likely is far more rural than Greece. I mean the monster which is Athens supposedly has around 4 million people.

Yeah pretty much. It's % population in urban areas with over a million people. I told you guys it wasn't hard.

@Kyriakos: Singapore is one city, which is why 100% of it's population is urban.

Yeah, but that is a bit misleading, i mean there are many one-city countries around (in Europe as well) ;) Setting some barrier (eg 1 million) is imo too arbitrary for our prestigious and professional map quiz.

It's essentially, "% pop living in big cities" as opposed to "% living in cities or dense villages." There's a large enough difference between London and Lancaster or Perth and Darwin that I think it's a worthwhile metric. In some ways in can better describe the way people live than % urban does.
