Can't be. Sierra Leone and Panama have the most.

Titanium or bauxite production?

Actually, I think you're probably right.

Wow, I'd have never thought of that. Which actually looks like it is.

Looks like a map of ship registrations, though if it is then there's a major error: it should be Liberia highlighted, not Sierra Leone.
Yes. Notice too how Bolivia is actually a (relative to its neighbors) major registrar of ships, yet has no access to the ocean.

No, it's not that. But it's related to that.

Thanks for the Liberia comment. I changed it:

That's why the US has more than Saudi Arabia.

It's called "Guess the Map", not "Provide solid facts that will confirm what the map is portraying upon first attempt". No need to patronize.

I know, but common sense dictates that that guess is implausible at best. I don't have figures.

If you have a problem with my guesses, feel free to simply state so and I will cease participating. No big deal to me.

Panama is black, so Ships passing the Panama Canal by country? Doesn't look like it since all the neighbouring countries are grey... But Panama looks like a special case and I'm not sure what makes Panama different from the rest of South America...

Well, it looks the opposite to me, to be honest. Calm down, there's no need to take it so seriously.

Something to do with Post-panamax ships, then?

A panamax ship is the biggest that will go through the panama canal. So post-panamax is larger. Nah. I can't figure it out, either.

(Somalian) pirate attacks against ships driving under those flags in the last x years?
