I just use The Queen unless I'm talking about a Queen of not-Britain.

I am not in Glasgow, and I would never call Scotland "England", but I do use England as a shorthand for the United Kingdom. When I refer to the British monarch, I use Queen/King of England rather than Great Britain/United Kingdom.
Welcome to being wrong then. But don't worry, this is the Internet. You'll get over it.

Well, that's a common American parlance. It's certainly wrong, like referring to America as Texas, but he'd be understood by anyone over here.

In my experience people from the UK refer to their county as "this county" because they can't be bothered to think whether they mean UK, GB or England or what.
It's especially funny when they are abroad and still do it. :D
So I wouldn't be too hard on anyone else getting it wrong.

What did Bulgaria, Serbia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina gain from the war?

And Bulgaria got a part of Romania. (which they still didn't give back )

Yugoslavia gained some land from Italy.

And Bulgaria got a part of Romania. (which they still didn't give back )
They were just taking back what Romania stole in 1913 :)

Arakhor you need to chill. Everyone I know refers to our country as England.

Don't you know Scotland, Wales and Ireland are mere counties of England? You know, like Surrey.. and Essex :p

This map is really wrong if it expansion/decline during world war 2.
Following WW2, American no longer controlled Philipines, as well as about 100 other island chains. England no longer controlled India. So both those countries should be blue.

If that map is indeed expansion from WW2 it's good, India and The Philippines were granted independence after ww2 but not a direct cause of the war or signed in any of the peace treaties..

Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Northern Marianas Islands, and Palau.

While officially a "Trust" they were under full US control and the Northern Marianas Islands are US territory to this day.

Second_world_war_europe_1943-1945_map_de.png

It was soviet occupied territory for the months following the end of the war...

So, "Soviet occuied for months" is the same as, "effective US territory for 30+ years before becoming official US territory"?
