Guess the New Civs

Unless we see Warsaw in new screenshots Poland is not out of question.

Dublin and Edinburgh are both CS and they are now part of Celtic City List.

Seoul, Copenhagen, and few other cities I believe were part of CS and with the DLCs they became part of nations.

So No, Poland is not out question

Hmm, you are right. Still, I find it hard for them to wedge poland in, unless their UA is to be stricken with the absolute worst case scenario in every major event.

I have not seen Stockholm or Helsinki in Screenshots so I would also say that Sweden is not out of a question. Few people know how important power Sweden was in Europe in the 1500s, 1600s and 1700s.

I personally think they would be a great Civ. They also could have female leader, but expansion already has so many women leaders that its not necessary.

But Christina shoud definately NOT be the leader :S
She abdicated and converted to catholicism, the very thing the nation and her father, Gustavus Adolphus (which would be a better leader), fought against in the Thirty years war.

She would've been considered somewhat of a traitor, mainly for the catholicism.

Yeah, I grew up in what was New Sweden (my high school school district was named after Christina), but she wasn't all that good of a leader, especially compared to Gustavus Adolphus. However, I don't think Theodora was all that good either, so I wouldn't have put it past them. An expansion pack with almost have female leaders would be quite impressive.

We've seen that they made Carthage a mediterranean civilization. So that's four confirmed European civs already. The remaining civs are almost definitely gonna be Asian and African.

Carthage is Mediterranean, but they are certainly not European. I don't know how you can jump from one to the other. The Ottomans are more of a European civilization than Carthage.

Carthage is not European...tho I hope they have mediterranean city graphics (Spain should have it too, but I digress) Any idea if Huns will be counted as Asian? if so then the chances of a subshaharan African and a north American civ are better.

Well, city-art graphics and continental diversity are not the same thing.

I think Portugal/Kongo or Ethiopia will be a double pack for DLC material, probably a Fall/Holiday release so they can release a complete colonization scenario if not a separate game entirely like Civ IV (doubtful but you never know).

Until then, I do expect another ancient scenario. I believe we could see both the Hittites and Sumer in a DLC, and an enhanced scenario that buffs the classical age. Those are the DLC's I'd put my money on.

In a potential third expansion, I would expect modern/New World additions. Brazil could make it. As could additional eastern European civs. Perhaps even Mexico and/or Australia/Canada. Point being, I do feel a third expansion would be geared toward the modern day, but pure speculation there.

Right now, I expect another Europe, maybe Indonesia, and Zulu/Ethiopia as the other expansion civs. No ancient civs and no modern civs.

Third? We don't even have one out and you're already thinking about third? besides, I think it's gonna be only two expnasion packs, I don't think any Civ game has more than 2 expansion packs anyway

I meant the third installment/2nd expansion, which I am not sold on. Will depend on the sales I guess.

Considering that Firaxis has been comparing G&K to BTS, and not Warlords, one gets the impression that this is the only expansion they're planning

That may easily have been a marketing decision as well
BtS is/was a much popular and bigger expansion than Warlords
Naturally they compare GK to BtS if they want to have their sales high

But anything can happen if the sales are strong enough
So yeah, I'm hoping for a second expansion as well

I'd definitely agree it's more marketing knowing that BtS was far more successful than Warlords, so a choice of comparisons is fairly easy (the successful one of course!).

and it means nothing about whether there will be more DLC/expansions/patches in the future.

Yes, I don't think that it means anything at all.

Everyone remembers Beyond The Sword in a way that they don't Warlords.

So with The Huns "confirmed" would that mean that they fill a role that I would describe as, "Civ4's Montezuma of Civ5"? So if they are in they would focus heavily on a military and declare war most often?

Doesn't Montezuma fill the role of Montezuma?
