I admit, this is a rip-off of some thread in CiV forums while visiting it for at least 30 seconds. Felt like starting one for Civ4.

Basically, these are riddles a la Sphinx where inklings often come from experience.

Let's start, don't wanna make a superb intro.

The 1st is a clear hint to a spy and the poison water mission imho, the 2nd one then would be counter-spies though that's too indirect for me, so not sure.

Darn! I just figured this one out while playing and rushed here to be first...looks like fail gold for me.
 
Still, that one is worth completing first. I can soon drop an invisible/invincible unit on him and read his mind :)

depicted as cavalry, which isn't historically accurate
'immortal' is unkillable by most definitions, so calling elite soldiers that could be considered metaphorical
