Pre-flight – 750 AD – Paris doesn’t have a barracks. I switch it and short rush it. We have a lot of cities producing military units with a barracks.

We learn Astronomy from our soothsayers a turn early. Must be because there is one less civ around. We go for banking, due in 8.

760 – We’re not at war with Carthage? Since I can’t remember whether we are negotiating or not negotiating, I decide to not negotiate and declare war. Found Kahnawake. The Spaniards are trying to get Pampalona back. We thwart that effort.

770 – We start pressing northward into India. Gandhi isn’t putting up much resistance, everything is coming from the Spaniards. Kill five of them.

IBT – Some English LBs are dropped off.

780 - @ Jaipur – Use two MDI armies to kill off the defending spears and raze it.

IBT – The Indians drop off a slave pair. Watch a Spanish galley sink an Indian galley.

790 – Collect the two slaves. Continue marching north.

IBT - Two jumbos leave Karachi attacking Spaniards and return wounded.

800 - @ Karachi – Knock off two spears and the two wounded jumbos…

Minin map looks like we do not know for sure where the big land mass is. Let's explore with the caravels. We may be save in a stack long enough to find a passage until ironclads show up.

- I desiced to split our forces in spain into 2 parts: armies go deeper into spanish territory and will attack cities without bombardment, knights and trebs covered by 1 army advance more slowly destroying towns after taking defenders to 1 hp.
- Capture Nimrud (bab island), send caravells to explore

870AD
- Raze Seville, settle new town

880AD
- Learn physics, magnetism next in 7 turns
- Caravells find some new bab land. It is not clear yet if it is another small island or not.

- Raze Barselona, but loose a green MDI army attacking a pike.

I lost many knights during the spanish campaign even though i attacked only redlined defenders. The situation:

The galleys found several other bab small islands, but didn't find the mainland. I think that war with knights against rifles is useless, but it would still be nice to start pillaging now.

got it, since Handy is not around

our continent seems huge, but according to the victory screen, Babylon has 21% landmass. We currently have 27% already, if we take all the Spanish and Indian land and some Babylond landmass, it might be enough to get domination.
 
If we're going to go for domination we need to start a few temples in strategic locations and settle a few out of the way locations.

we have enough workers, all land is almost all improved, we only need them for RR project
send 2 caravels up and discover Spanish landmass

take out the phant and 2 LB's
start to attack Toledo with 3 armies, defeat 5 units and raze it for 5 slaves and 1 treb

3. 980AD

IT our pillager army to babylon land keeps on course unharmed
we get metallurgy, MT next in 6

4. 990AD
found Kiohero
while sailing to babs front, spot 2 frigattes and 1 galleon

IT babs sail past us, shows you how stupid the AI is
Nimrud deposed us, not too unexpected, we should have razed that town

5. 1000AD
someone must have gotten MT, since research drops to 4
not sure whether dropping the army where I did was a good idea, what i thought should be the continent seems another archipelago

attack all 3 phants, lose 1 knight but defeat them
manage to raze Santiago, Spain has only 3 cities on the Island left
where we landed is surely not the continent, where on earth is it then?

IT 2 more phants come out and defeat 2 knights :(
one of our exploring caravels gets attacked but promotes :)

7. 1020AD
defeat 2 phants and 1 spear, but our defense is paper thin in the north, we need rails faster
capture Valladolid, raze Lahore

IT our galleon gets sunk, now the army is stranded on that Island
Indians seems to have endless phants, 2 more come out to kill 2 knights, can barely hold the north
Valencia gets deposed, I will get rid of such a town, I can't understand why we kept it in the first place :gripe:

8. 1030AD
raze Valencia, kill both phants and kill a settler pair
reduce science to 20%

upgrade a few knights, advance in India

10. 1050AD
raze Bangalore, which has only 1 defender :lol:
capture Logrono and Spain is down to 1 city
ToG in 4, next player can upgrade some knight, since we have 382g.
Once we have steam, we need to RR fast to be able to defend. Our defense is thin.

I have been building some libraries in the core to improve our research, that is doing well

Spain (1 city) and India (4 cities) should be defeated fast, be careful though, there is an elephant in the fog that will attack in the IT

as you can see on the minimap, the main continent is still somewhere hidden. Maybe we need to do some Island hopping with
a knight army to cover Cav's. that way we could gain some land.
our stats are 29/42 and with all the empty land settled, we can gain a lot.
 
Sorry for those flips, i thought we are going to destroy Spain soon so i kept some towns. I forgot to check if they have some towns on islands.

I guess we need more ships now. Maybe capturing those islands is a good idea: they'll give us some land and are usually poor defended compared to mainland. I guess we cannot attack the mainland before we do some pillaging there and bring some cannons.

We may have found the Babylonian mainland and just don't realize it. In Bede's last screenie it shows the cultural borders southwest of Sippar fully developed. Since F11 says we're #2 in land, then Hammi has to be #1 and my guess is that our newly landed knight army is at the extreme tip of the mainland. If it isn't, it has to be darned close to there.
 
M60 - I think you may be right. We'll need to scout a bit with our navy. Although that was Rat's last screenie :lol:

Make more friends.....or at least find more enemies. Fill the empty lands.
