Hattrick

dear everybody, I need your help. :D
As I've just check my next game on sat evening (league), and I've noticed that the guy is not still playing for 4 matches. :goodjob:
so I have some indications about its next team profile : he is going to play in 5-3-2, and his Att. is out for next match.

Can you give me your opinions on how would you play this game :
4-4-2 ? which tactique ? AOW ?

thanx ;)

the match : 26899428
my team : Elsaak FC (298745)
his team : Les éclopés de Chassy (298749)
Division : French VI.956

Took a look at both line ups from the last weeks with backdraft.

The problem is: You have only played 4-4-2 in the last weeks. (5-4-1 in our friendly)

I think, 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 should be the best tactics. (especially 3-5-2, you get a lot of ball posession, but maybe your team would be irritated)

AIM is definitely wrong, his central defence is his strongest point.

So maybe you should play 4-4-2 with offensive Inner Defenders (maybe even offensive wingbacks), and an offensive left Inner Midfield (his right attack side is very weak, he seems to always put the right wing to defense)

AOW should also be wrong, because his side defense is not bad.

As I more think about it, I think you should set your left wingback to offensive, you won't need him much in defense.

The weekend match seems to already be going to plan as we are already leading 0-2 after 10 minutes. Elsewhere though the team in fourth is also winning so potentially if I lose again when I play Worchester in 3 matches time, they might go ahead of me in the table...

edit: 0-5 after 19 minutes.

0-8 in the end. My largest victory ever in the league. Next week I play them at home. :)

Now we are second in the league as the team that used to occupy the position lost at home to the team that was in 7th. 5th won at home against 4th. So now it looks like I should really finish second unless I lose to SMBA again...

pfffffffffffffff !
even at home, even knowing by advance his schema (5-3-2), even with the advices of you guys, even in my favorite 4-4-2, I lost my first confrontation with the "éclopés de Chassy" (means the Chassy' limping !)

0-2

next week, I'm going on their field ; I will try 3-5-2 for the next 2 games...

It ends 4-2. :) Currently trying to restructure my team though so I am awaiting with interest whether anyone will bid on my star striker that I'm currently trying to sell. Hopefully the bidding will go high so that I have plenty of money for new trainees.

I don't know, there's something about this game that doesn't convince me...

It's really a long term game. The most important part is the training program, not the matches themself.

I'm getting quite into it at the moment since I can see far more room for advancement by investing some time rather than in footiemanager which seems to reward a good start to the season with good results for the rest of the season...

Oh, that's why. I like to win, and FAST :D

I agree with you : I think it would be better if we can manage something DURING the game.
But after some time, I noticed that it is a game based on the same topics of :
coordination,
anticipation,
prediction,
average/long terme

that we all love here in CivFC...

but it's only my point of vue.......... :D

4-1 at home. Was a lot closer than I would have liked but then I did seem to make all the wrong tactical decisions. Still second though and now with a 5 point advantage so as long as I don't lose too heavily against Worchester I should hopefully finish second.

Two more player sales raised another 30 000 which puts me in an interesting situation with 162 000 in the bank. I'm not sure what to do:

1) Keep it till the end of the season where I could use it to upgrade my stadium whilst prices are still low and also get a solid coach since I should get other cash as well.

2) The other alternative is to buy a better 17 year old trainee and sell one of my 18 year old trainees instead. But this would rely on there being a decent youth player on the market that doesn't go for too much money. Potentially I'm looking at shooting and passing both at passable.

The other consideration is that I do have an excellent youth academy so it may not be the best idea to rush out and buy a new trainee now when I might get lucky with a youth pull.

I'd say, go for a bigger stadium as long as it's cheap. You might expand it in a few seasons otherwise, so maybe do it now!

Even if you get a good trainee out of your youth academy, it isn't a bad idea to sell him anyway. Your TS might be affected if you sell a player out of your youth academy after 4 days. So it's best to sell him right away.
Unless you've got something you really, really want. But that chance is rather slim. And it's very likely that you'll get as much money for him as you need to spend on a new trainee.

If you'd calculate it, you'd gain most with a new coach. Expanding your stadium isn't a bad idea, but I'd do that now if you can.

about trainees coming from our formation center :
must/should I take every week the available player ?
or is that increase chances to get a better guy if I take him only once out of 2 weeks ?
(are they better formed ?)
