Great Artist: You can't use your own artist to get culture. You have to capture an enemy artist or get one through trade. When you'll have an enemy artist, you can use the button "Cultural Exchange" over a city to get culture.
So you can't do very much with your own artist. You can trade him.
In order to trade your artist you must take him to your capital. If you have artists in your capital, when you enter diplomacy you will have the option to trade them for stuff.
I have a couple of questions about this. Sorry I haven't played your mod to find out myself...
How is this implemented? How can you make an unit tradeable, except the unit in the second position in the editor? Which button did you rename to have "Cultural Exchange" in game? How does it give culture to the city?![]()

The Great Artist is in the 2nd position in the editor, with the worker moved somewhere else. "Cultural Exchange" is a labels.txt script.txt, and interface change for sacrifice.![]()
I think that actually is patch v1.2 .I have a question. I was reading through the thread and you say you've patched it several times, changing the patch link in the post at the beginning. But the post still says the patch is V1.2. Can you update that and verify what the latest patch is.
I'm glad your having fun.Also I've been having tons of fun with this. In my most recent game I had a bad start, so my initial city build went warriors X4, Ancient Ruins Wonder (for Ancient Calvary). I got an MGL, trained to an army, transported to the main continent, and I destroyed 3 Civs with a 18hp, 6/3/4 Ancient Cavalry Army. (I'm fairly sure I messed up the names, but boy did I destroy. That army never once fought anything with a defense over 2.)
Also would anyone be interested in a Succession/Democracy/Something game using this?
Any ideas on how to set it up? Recommendations, preferences, etc? World Map or Random? (Personally I'd rather take Random, but I'm not married to the idea.) Any ideas on the map settings so we can get to generating maps for the maybe eventual thread?
Also Heretic would you like to hear any more bug reports & civilopedia corrections? I've noticed a few things here and there. (Covert Agency has a misspelling of Intelligence Center, Thule Society Entry is messed up, Almogavar unit doesn't redirect to the corresponding Small Wonder, Confucius Wonder only builds libraries on the same continent, etc etc)
Also the Hashashin Wonder never stops acting as an intelligence Agency, despite supposedly going obsolete at Steam Power.
Finally is there no fix for the maintenance on obsolete wonders besides modding it out?
Also that game I mentioned is going nicely, even though I'm really far behind where I'd normally be. 68 Serfs costs me a lot of cash. I just hope I (they) can last long enough to use hidden nationality terrorists and nukes.
Yup - patch 1.04 was released in post 147. But it was a patch for the non-expanded mod. Post 252 it the first patch for the expansion - so i reseted the patches version numbers. But i see where your pointing - i renamed the patch to 1.02x to show that it's the for expansion. All patches from now on will have the x after it.I'm still confused as to what is the most recent patch. Say I downloaded the file linked in the first post, and then applied the patch in the third. Do I need another patch (1.04 is released in post #147, and post #252 points back to post #3 saying you updated it.)? Thanks in advance.
