Hermetic lore for FFH DI4 (not for use outside this game)

Actually, I'd say something about some sort of forest magic turning Finnigan into an elf.

Eh, lets leave him as human. I already gave him Woodsman II, which covers the main benefit of being an elf.

doesn't Sinister change the appearence of the unit to elvish/svart? (i'm talking about stephenson)
Nope. All it does is add an attack strength.

If you're wondering why ljosalfar and svartalfar look different, it's because there are two elven races. Both have the same name, stats, and even icon, but the svartalfar get one and the ljosalfar get one. Appearance is still determined by race: If you give the grigori a (dark) elf promotion they will look like svart... give them a normal elf promotion, they will look like ljosalfar.

I thought that the difference was Sinister and Dextrous...

Edit: actually, i'm remember back, and your right. hmm. embarassing. :p (not that your right, of course. just that I'm wrong)

Finnegan and adventurers
I propose to leave him as Grigori (human). He has nice story already created, and nice promotions too.
I also propose suggesting Verdian to use our list of adventurers in the future. If so, let’s reveal the list to him!

Dwarves (for the attention of Babale)
I’m more than happy that you want to takeover the plot, Babale. Please note that I planned to give Grigori a power to influence the relations between dwarves. Namely:
- if he gives Gal’Dur to Luchuirp he will spoil his relations with Arturus (and between the dwarves too)
- if he gives it to Khazad – similar story (relation spoiled with Luchuirp of course)
- I hope he will develop a consensus however to please both nations. How? Let’s let him work it out himself. For instance it could be: giving the city to Luchuir and organizing common (pan-dwarven) expedition to slay Acheron and regain the hoard for Khazad. -> this solution opens way to permanent dwarven alliance! And should please Kilmorph enough to give them a sort of support (temporary dragon slayers with ‘courage’ promotion?)

Updating the list
I will do it asap, but there are so many new plots…

I've mentioned the list to him...

and why temporary Dragon Slayers? that could be a good reward in and of itself... early dragon slayers... (or, I suppose, just the dragon slaying promotion)

Well just an idea. We will see how the game will develop. And... who said it would be early? I expect it could take place after Gal'Dur quest...

So whats going the happen with the Tower of Arawn now that Vandal is changing from the God of Death to the God of Hate? Do we leave this for someone else to deal with?

If no-one else has any idea's then Arawn could punish them for worshipping him. Then the old followers could fall to barbarianism. Barbarian City maybe? Or they could become worshipers of The One (Creator) and thus start up a Luannantor (sp) cult in the Grigori Capital.

The only other God who could take the reins for this would be Sucellus who Arawn could foist them off on. As Sucellus gained his new Precept from Arawn and the Tomb of Sucellus is actually quite close. A story could be woven then of the Tower of Death becoming the tower of life.

Anyway those are the only ideas i had on the Tower thread that needs to be wrapped up.

I hope no-one minds if i adopt the Bear hunter (Stevenson) for a few stories involving his new found blood lust. That little side story is too amusing too pass up. If no one has any ideas for the tower i wouldn't mind adopting it for a quest to tempt Stevenson to pillage and burn the thing to the ground.

Go for it! He seems to be yours.

Taris? Marmoon?

Do you mean Tali and mammon?

and no god can act so directly in creation anymore, at least since the signing of the compact. nor would they act, as they have no reason to... Odio is the Archangel of Camulos (IIRC) and so the other gods would in no way want to interfere with it...

and anyway, Tali is neutral and mischeivous...

and mammon does not seek the destruction of erebus (and anyway, his archangel, Hastur, is busy whispering in Danalin's ears and causing nightmares)
I'd like to point out that while Mammon isn't out to destroy the world, he will toss it over the edge to make others leap and catch it, so he can do something more important. I might aid the Sheaim, for example, but it would be under a gambit to force others to rush effort to defeat them, distracting them from my true intention.

Alright. Question time.

I wasn't able to make my intervention (four wolves, bounty hunter promo), but he did get 5 units in the first 50 turns: two lizardmen, a spider, one dead bear and one captured bear.

Any objections to me rewarding him, if he gives up the bear? That might provide a nice delimma with our favorite fawns, of course, but hey. Money.

Great idea! Weave a good story, so he has a real dilemma. If I was to make the decision, I would chose bear alive, unless threaten.

Well, if you start him off on that path through mundane dwarven means, I'd love to take over next intervention, and combine that quest with Kilmorph's uniting the dwarves one. But don't send the dwarf in yet. His first quest will be to find the Dwarves.

EDIT: Anyone mind if I drop a couple of dwarven outposts down? Not real cities-just forts with Held dwarves in them.

Well, he could do it in 3 turns. I think we may give more forward looking quest (the round is 50 turns afterall).

Okay, so my plan is this:

If Verdian sticks to nature-themed technologies(Hunting, Archery, Calendar) and avoids doing anything to anger me further(Not that I'm mad at him, but my god is slightly miffed) then he will receive the Farland Moors quest next intervention. Right now:

3 Lizardmen are guarding the Lair next to the Moors.
These lizardmen are stronger than normal; this power comes from the wild magic present in the moors.
The quest will be to liberate the Lair and guard it; possibly building a city next to the lair.
When this happens, the wild magic will be unleashed. Several manifestations of this energy will appear, which he must defeat.
This magic is very strong and it's potential untapped, so other gods are free to try and persuade Gerran to subvert this magic for their own causes. If he sticks to the path of nature, we will likely get a Nature Node, terraform some of the land to make it more fertile, and get a either a new unit or bonuses on his existing units.
