Well for the larger context didn't require much trade just awareness. He was mainly contending that the Japanese originally allowed the Satsuma clan to occupy Okinawa mainly out of genuine security concerns against the Spanish having already occupied the Phillipines.

Keep in mind, his shins are angled under the chair and knews are apart, as opposed to the straight posture of Churchill and FDR. And you also can't see the position of FDRs feet.

I dunno if it's some kind of illusion based on the camera angle, but the difference seems less pronounced in other Tehran and Yalta photos:

Quick Google search yields these results:

Stalin -- 5'6"
FDR -- 6'2"
Churchill -- 5'7"

It's less of a case of Stalin being short, and more of FDR being tall.

That is incorrect. Stalin was the same height as Lenin, about 5 feet 4 inches.

The chairs are different heights. You'll note that FDR, the tallest, is in the highest chair, with Stalin, the shortest, in the medium chair, and Churchill sitting in the smallest chair. Kind of symbolic of the relationship of the three, really.

And Cheezy is right. I checked during the day after asking that question earlier. Stalin was most definitely my height, which is 5ft 4.
