Yeah, I figured the HOF site was different from CFC. I don't like having the browser's remember id/pwd settings on for security reasons.
How is your HOF password being remembered by your browser? I got a Chromium browser (called SRWare Iron) that doesn't remember either CFC or HOF passwords. I also have Firefox set up to remember both, but protected by a Master Password. They both remember the user id, but that's probably stored in a cookie that can be easily removed or prevented via a Cookie Manager Plug-in for Firefox. I wouldn't worry about a browser remembering an id, except something like a Swiss Bank Account Number.
Both of these options is far more secure than a Web server storing your Password in a Cookie. I always reject that option.
Firefox has a Master Password that protects all your passwords. The passwords are associated with specific sites so there is very little risk of disclosure. However, you must enable the Master Password by setting it, otherwise none of your other passwords are protected. There is also a Firefox plug-in that will time-out your Master Password in X minutes, in case you need to do something suddenly; for the truly paranoid, like myself.
