Hometown Elimination- Sign-Up thread

how is Summer and Semi-Summer both seasons. From what I know from when I lived in Africa there is two seasons:
Rainy and Dry. 4 seasons>2 Seasons

We have BBQs and fried chicken as well. We also have Italian, Chinese, Japanese, French and about any other. Toronto was awarded the multicultural capital of the world. Point North (btw I am advocating north of border, not the northern states)

The South beats you Northerners anyday. We have better people, better cities, better land, better food, better weather, better everything.

Speaking of ski lifts:

Wikipedia said:
The world's first ski chairlift was created for the ski resort in Sun Valley, Idaho in 1936, then owned by the Union Pacific Railroad.[13] It was installed on Proctor Mountain, two miles (3 km) east of the more famous Bald Mountain, the primary ski mountain of Sun Valley resort since 1939. The chairlift was developed by James Curran of Union Pacific's engineering department in Omaha during the summer of 1936. Prior to working for Union Pacific, Curran worked for Paxton and Vierling Steel (pvsteel.com), also in Omaha, which engineered banana conveyor systems to load cargo ships in the tropics. (PVS manufactured these chairs in their Omaha, NE facility.) Curran reengineered the banana hooks with chairs and created a machine with greater capacity than the up-ski toboggan (cable car) and better comfort than the J-bar, the two most common skier transports at the time—apart from mountain climbing. His basic design is still used for chairlifts today. The patent for the original ski lift was issued to Mr. Curran along with Gordon H. Bannerman and Glen H. Trout (Chief Engineer of the Union Pacific RR) in March 1939. The patent was titled "Aerial Ski Tramway,' U.S. Patent 2,152,235. W. Averell Harriman, Sun Valley's creator and former governor of New York State, financed the project.[14][15] The original 1936 chair lift was later moved to Boyne Mountain, Michigan (USA) where parts of it are still in use.[16]

We have brand new quad ski lifts here, and a gondola. Michigan can have the old one :p

When it snows in Newhaven it is generally a brown sludge before the end of the day. Not that it snows much...

The South has 4 seasons too, summer, semi summer, fall, and spring. It has a nice warm summer, and a winter that doesn't freeze us. Point South.

The South is also multicultural, and has fired chicken and B-B-Q. Point South

South > North

The South beats you Northerners anyday. We have better people, better cities, better land, better food, better weather, better everything.

Agreed, South America is the best. :smug:

Southern USA is the best.

Corby Town, called 'Mini-Glasgow' because of the huge amount of Scottish people living here, even though it is in the East Midlands in England. Why I like it? It is one of the only places in England with Irn Bru.

I'm just saying that because it happens to be only a few miles from me. BSmith is closer.
